  1. Thanks future ; Sure i shall keep my website updated with subsequent pics of the progress of HT as well as keep myself updated with all the suggestions and advice from the forum for improvement of hair restoration results.
  2. Gents My HT website having pics of my hair transplant at Dr GV Rao's clinic in Hyderabad - India. Hair Restoration Site for Proactive69
  3. I had my hair transplant yesterday at Dr Y V Rao's HT clinic.I was informed that 2465 grafts were planted during the transplant. To the best of my knowledge it went quite smooth and painless. The staff at the HT centre provided personalised care and attention throught. In my situation having been refused as unsuitable for transplant and otherwise also my expectations were quite realistic viz just a reasonable hairline. Actual results shall be confirmed with time in the months to come only but since i understand that Dr Y V Rao and his team are very experienced and supportive ; i expect the results should be quite fine unless otherwise its my personal bad luck. Plus i noticed Dr Rao spends quite a sizeable time with the patient doing all crucial works by himself ; and i understand that he is passionate about his work and espcially he is passionate about the professional challenges that come across in his profession. This is exactly what i had been seeking. The hospital shall send me pics of surgery / HT in a day or two and i shall paste it here on the forum. I also saved a gud amount of money here and to the best of my knowledge without any compromize in quality / skills and with that money saved by me plus some additional contribution from me i am also planning a lipusuction with Dr Rao shortly. My sincere thanks to the forum and its members for all the valuable advice and inputs regarding hair transplantation for past year or two of my membership here which has been quite motivating and useful in my decisions. In the given situation ; to the best of my knowledge i think ; i could not have done better given the limitations of quantity and quality of my donor hair. 4. win win ; i have been using minioxidal 5% since 10 years now but hardly any improvement.but when i was in canada i found even minioxidal 2% was effective. In Canada u need prescription for 5% minioxidal but in India even 10% minioxidal is sold without any prescription. wonder if we are being befooled with bottled water in India instead of minioxidal and wonder what drug testing , lisencing and enforsement agencies are being paid for.
  5. GNX1 ; I have quite healthy hair on my chest and beard. However , i am not at all aware of HT specialists in India who can transplant body / chest hair.Could you share your information regarding some.
  6. dear win win ; i checked this international society online just now.it has 38 members from India and most of them are MBBS qualified and experience of a few years only:eek:.The qualification of radha ravuri of vishakapatnam is also shown as MBBS only:rolleyes:.Rest is all understood and it implies that its membership means nothing at all. Neverthless gud that u pointed out and i shall ask the doctor about this tomorrow. However , in this forum it may be uncalled for and inappropriate to level such serious allegations on a Doctor without any opprtunity of defense to him in his absence. i am an engineer and a professional in field and there are so many memberships etc u pay for and attend annual meetings etc but in practice it does not mean much / indispensable difference to the quality of your professional work. What matters more is the degree and the experience.Dr Rao is a Plastic Surgeon Specialist ( MD) with estensive years of experience. At least thats what is written on his visiting card , prescription and website. I am a layman and i am simply following my instincts espacially as i want to complete this HT and concentracte on other livelihood issues as well. Dr Rao has informed me yesterday that his websites were two years old and it is possible that he may not have renewed this membership. I think it might be practically difucult to qualify any of the HT specialists all over the world from one corner of the world with the result that an open menbership is granted to MBBS qualified while MD qualified Plastic Surgeons might be left out simply because they did not subscribe / renew that membership. No MD doctor in India to the best of my knowledge shall commit such open crimes with their effluent and educated patients and land up in a prison. This is again my understanding as a layman and of course i am here to learn and educate myself only coz i am facing an unforceen problem.

  8. Dear Future ; I have high personal and professional regards for Dr Madhu as an individual and as a great HT surgeon .Obviously he might have done what he felt was best as a HT professional. In all professions different persons have different approach / assesment and its quite normal.I am an engineer and i have so many divergent views and approach in relation to my other engineering colleagues and thats quite normal. Sometimes a doctor may be a greater perfectionist and have much higher expectations from the work performed by him. I wont be surprised myself either if my HT results are not satisfactory despite my best efforts with other HT surgeons.I an a layman afterall. But i still have a problem to redress and thats what i am doing by sharing honestly with members and experts here and i hope i am not being misunderstood doing so.I shall hurt my personal concience if i have any other intention otherwise.Without sharing bare facts i can not get correct advice either. I shall upload my digital pics shortly. I have not contacted Dr Radha yet coz she is in vishakhapatnam and i need more time for that.
  9. Really ? wonder when this is gonna come up ? Are there any such clinics elsewhere in the world too ? this coz conventionally we are gud at only copying things rather than indegenous products.
  10. Dear WinWin ; I also felt that HT surgeons in Hyderabad were not comfortable with BHT :eek:espacially as in my case it could be useful.I was informed that BHT has 1:20 rate of sucess in comparison to scalp hair transplant ; unlike the information shared by you here.I wonder , why anyone should go for BHT in such a case given that it is much more expensive:rolleyes:.I have taken note of all the valuable information provided by you and shall proceed accordingly for future. However , as of now since i had already delayed it soo long and since i am already in Hyderabad comming all the way from Jammu , for this very purpose only ; i plan to go ahead with Dr Y V Rao followed by SMP in Dubai and BHT in chandigarh later on as suggested by you. Dr Y V Rao assured me that he could get 2500 grafts from my donor hair and restore a reasonable hairline.:DI understand his charges are also quite lesser in comparison with others in HYD.Given the situation of confusion and uncertanity created for me also i prefer to go for lesser expensive version and play safer.:confused:Plus Dr Rao from his age also appears to be quite an experienced Plastic Surgeon. Dr Y V Rao assured me that unlike other HT doctors from Hyderabad who were dermatologists he was a Plastic Surgeon Specialist and therefore better qualified to do this transplant and he also provided this as the justification as to why he could extract more donor grafts from my scalp. Well at lest this would seem quite convincing for a layman like me:p espacially as i strongly believe just that someone is charging lesser dosent mean that he is in any way lesser skilled / qualified than others who charge much higher.:cool:At least my case i personally believe that my case appears to be of some challenge to a HT specialist and calls for a bit of extra efforts , skills and comitment. Since i am a layman all i am relying upon now is my commonsense and intution only to take my decision.
  11. Dear Hairless ; Thanks for your valuable info.I have come all the way from jammu to hyderabad for transplant coz the impression i had from information available with me was that the docs in Hyderabad were the best.
  12. yes nativeremdies , Dr Madhu said i had maximun 1800 donor grafts.in his e-mail / online consultation he said that i needed 2500 grafts based on digital pics of my head but then i was also informed that personal assesment can differ from online assesment through e-mails.Basically i understand that he meant the no of donor hair was inadequate in relation to the area to be covered.
  13. dear win win thanks for your valuable inputs and i intend to proceed accordingly.
  14. Dear Future ; Dr Madhu said that my donor hair was not adequate and the bald area was wide enough.Further he said that for limited grafts the scalp colour should be dark.I understand that i have stage VI baldness but i also believe that with additional efforts and calibre my hairline can be provided a reasonable look and i am working on that right now. However i cant help appreciate his integrity and honesty in returning the deposit money as he felt that as a patient i would not be satisfied with the results.
  15. Dear winwin ; Thanks for your valuable inputs and i shall work on the same.In fact i was already thinking to contact Dr Radha from Vishakhapatnam.Scalp micro pigmentation also should be a gud idea.Do u have reference of specific scalp micropigmentation clinics ? I think in combination with grafts from HT scalp micropigmentation should give gud results.
  16. I have stage VI baldness and recently i have taken the long pending and bold decision to come to Hyderabad for Hair Transplant. In my case Dr Madhu had innitially seen my digital snaps through e-mail and recommened 3000 grafts for HT but when i met him in person he honestly said that the results would not be satisfactory due to lesser donor hair ; wider bald area and to my surprise he very honestly though refund the deposit money for hair transplant:o.Further i have good quality and quantity of body and facial beard but he informed that result for body hair transplant is again not good in comparison to scalp hair and the ratio is 1:20. Dr Ashok offered to get the HT done within reasonable expectations with the remark that Dr Madhu was a man of limited capability.:rolleyes:Now i see from forums that there are some negative feedbacks about Dr Ashok. Wonder what Dr Y V Rao would response to my case though i did not come across any negative feedback about him and patients on this forum have also recommended him. I understand that i need an extracalibre HT specialist who can put in some extra efforts to restore a reasonable hairline.Wonder if Y V Rao would be the right recommendation for my case ? Look forward to advice from senior members.Do i need to go for non surgical means ? Any advise on that front too though i still believe strongly that i can be restored a reasonable hairline by hair transplant esp as my expectations are realistic and moderate. Hair Restoration Site for Proactive69

  19. htrocks ; in your case i see from the pics on your website that you have a gud quality and quantity of donor hair sd its likely that you may have gud results. However , in my case i have stage VI / VII baldness and as per the HT specialists i have limited donor hair due to which the result may not be satisfactory.I understand that i need an extracalibre HT specialist who can put in some extra efforts to restore a reasonable hairline.Wonder if Y V Rao would be the right recommendation for my case ?
