This is heartbreaking. First off, I'm very sorry you are going through this. This frankly rivals the botched jobs of decades ago, not something in 2014. You have more than a strong case for a malpractice lawsuit. You should sue them for everything they're worth for inflicting permanent and disfiguring damage. At the very least fight it with your credit card company (if you used one) and get it charged back. Some people have had success with that route.

Hands down Konior. A world class, artistic surgeon in your very back yard. If it was me, I would go to him in a heartbeat.
-
Seriously who cares how his hair loss will progress. The man is 50 and he wants to enjoy it now.
Just recommended a friend to go see Rahal because of his reputation for hairlines, but now I wished I would have mentioned Konior to him as well.

Reading all your posts, and I cannot for the life of me understand what you are ranting and raving about. I'm still not quite sure what your issue is. You say one thing then contradict yourself several times within the same passage.
What is wrong with Joe saying that H&W were the best in the world? At one point, they probably were the best in the world, and so that statement would have been true. If H&W were a back alley butcher type of operation, then I can see why promoting them would be reprehensible. For any of your comments to make any sense logically, there would have to be people who have been clearly taken advantage of or damaged. Your issue apparently only has to do with Joe and not with the practice itself. I don't understand the virulent personal attack on him, and for that matter, not being able to even site specific examples of how he has "wronged" patients.
It's people like Jotronic that make choosing the right clinic a veritable minefield. His cheer squad can say all they want it won’t change what is the bleeding obvious. His views have seemingly switched over night so you’re kidding yourselves to suggest it’s because of the advancements in FUE. Advancements don’t happen overnight, they happen over a long period of time.
Jotronic Quote;
“Hasson & Wong Hair Transplants. I may sound biased, but I was a patient of Doctor Wong’s prior to becoming a hair transplant patient educator for Hasson & Wong. Hasson & Wong is with no doubt the best clinic on the planet, which—unless there are hair transplant clinics on Melchior 5—makes them the best clinic in the known universe” - Jotronic Hair Transplant Mentor.com

He has encouraged and sold people into Hasson and Wong procedures on the premise that they are “THE BEST IN THE WORLD”.
Clearly Hasson and Wong are very skilled surgeons whose work speaks for itself but to endorse it under such strong beliefs only to ditch those beliefs overnight beggars belief.
As far as the helping and guiding people as a “mentor” have you ever actually considered it was also motivated by self-promotion as far as marketing himself as a hair replacement expert for career advancement?
Surgical Hair Replacement procedures are as the name suggests 'surgical' so it’s not something to be taken lightly. It’s not like selling someone a bread maker in a bargain basement sale.
This forum is supposed to help and guide people in the right direction.
People have vulnerabilities because hair-loss effects some people very severely. There are far too many people in the industry who prey on those vulnerabilities and it’s stained the industry as a result.
I’m not suggesting Mr Tillman is one of those people by any means but it does not excuse the fact he has been referring and selling people into procedures, including repairs which makes it even more serious.
That is inexcusable under those circumstances because repairs are people who are truly effected the most and are desperately trying to find someone to trust.

Yeah, I'd say so... You look like a different person.
-
Would they have been similarly shocked if you just said Propecia? There's no difference in the active ingredient except Propecia is 1mg and marketed specifically for MPB. Proscar is also finasteride but in 5 MG tablets.
If you weren't responding anymore to Propecia, then why would you respond to Proscar? Not understanding. Unless you mean it's easier to take a higher dose with one Proscar tablet divided into 2 versus taking 2 Propecia tablets.

If you've decided to do this in Thailand, then I'd go to this guy. Yes he is not a recommended surgeon, but from what I've read about this guy, he is quite well known in Asian hair transplant circles and the results are impressive. The documentation is standardized and the results are consistent.
-
There are surgeons out there who can deliver results that closely resemble nature. The only people who can point out the "unnaturalness" would be us, a bunch of guys who spend too much time obsessing about minute details that would escape most notice by ordinary people.
Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good.
-
Losing weight doesn't mean anything unless you are losing body fat. You can have two guys who are the same height and be the same weight and yet look completely different due to body composition.
-
Well true to an extent, but a big part of it is that people don't know how to style their hair appropriately. Sometimes the biggest give away is patients choosing to style their hair in a way that is not suitable for transplanted hair. Trying to relive the glory days by slicking your transplanted hair straight back or spiking it straight up does not help with the illusion when natural light hits your head. You need to be a little clever because transplanted hair can never achieve natural density.
-
Hair porn.... I actually burst out laughing due to sheer disbelief at the incredible density.
-
Oh they'll notice.... My bro got it done and tried to conceal it by combing his hair into bangs. He said that people who never usually talk to him at work just came up with lame reasons to "ask him questions" mostly to get a better look, LOL.
-
The ones who say that always have good hair. It's easy to be above it all when you aren't dealing with it.
-
So impressive how the grafts are packed so tightly. I love the attention to detail and how the angles are flat against the scalp, which is how a women's hairline should look.
-
I think your current hairline is very believable and age appropriate. But hey, if you have cash to burn and going to a top notch surgeon, then go for it.
-
Frankly, I expect this clinic to be bounced out of the network within a month.
They've basically used 3,000 grafts to create a bloody comb over
Didn't someone on the board mention recently that Dr. Rassman is also basically retired? What's the situation with his recommendation?
-
I don't get it. Is it a robot generating the responses? What's with the explanations almost a year after posting pictures?
-
So it took almost a year for an explanation and this copy and past job is the answer? If this practice wants business, they should probably stop posting pictures.
-
Also particularly annoying is the sometimes startling ignorance of some of the posts. It seems like a lot of guys, particularly young and naive, do not do ANY research and it shows in the nature of their questions. It seems like a mixture of intellectual laziness and blind trust in the physician.
There is a physician who is constantly mentioned on this forum simply because the price for FUE is ridiculously cheap, not because the work is particularly good, or even average as a matter of fact.
-
Considering the pretty significant number of grafts extracted it does not look terrible. It is noticeable, but not disfiguring. I agree that smp should help tremendously to camouflage the white dots. Then again, your hair is very aggressively short in the back.
As for your doctor, his name has come up before and I do not believe it was in a positive light.
-
Absolutely it could be related. The stress of the surgery pushed me into a ridiculous shed that lasted a couple of months. It was literally falling out in clumps each time I showered. Luckily I believe it mostly grew back, but it was very distressing at the time. If the hair was strong, eventually it will regrow but it's not unheard of to have a hair transplant and end up accelerating your hair loss due to the trauma of the surgery.
-
I think this is hair transplant at the hairline, with a piece behind it.
-
Wow... amazing transformation. Without even seeing any facial features you can clearly see how much a very receded hairline can age a guy beyond his years.
-
I lose 30 to 40 a day in the shower and another 10 when I towel dry and have been for years. I think this is when the majority of my daily fall comes comes out because I only comb my hair once a day directly out of the shower, so I try not to let it bother me too much.
I think that the caliber of what's falling is most important.
I am personally for what I call shrinking and dusting the crown for someone your age, but I would be careful with how much you use because you probably have a lot of native left to lose in your lifetime.
Spanker when you say the caliber of the hair that falls out is more important, can you clarify? If healthy, thick terminal hairs fall out is that better or worse? Nowadays the hair that falls out for me are mostly very miniaturized hair.
Also, I know this has been asked before, but if the hair falls out with the white bulb at the end does it regrow?
Does Fraxel really work on scars?

I don't think Fraxel will help much. Like the previous poster said, cortisone injections are much more reliable in flattening scars, while Vbeam would be more effective towards reducing the redness. I know many people who've done many sessions of Fraxel for things like acne scars on the face, and frankly it doesn't work.
