  1. Hi KO, Yes the first post in this thread have some preop pics before the HT?
  2. So it's been 5 weeks since my HT with Dr Bhatti. I have lost most of the grafts at this stage, and I have also noticed my donor area being quite itchy from time to time. This is normal, as the nerves are growing again after the surgery. So far so good, however it really is the "ugly duckling phase". Chin up, and keep being busy is all I can do. My post surgery regime is very simple at the moment. Morning: Take 1mg Finastride and 1 Biotin 1000mg 2 x week wash hair with Johnsons and Johnsons Baby Shampoo, and use J&J Baby hair oil at night. Minoxidil 5% 1 a day. ( I usually put this on at night) I apply Aloe vera gel 1 x day, to my Donor and recipient area's. So that's it really, i will upload some new photo's later this week. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys
  3. Hi Enternaldenied, Congratulations on your HT I hope you will be happy with your results, and happy growing.I didn't really have any pain, it was more of a dull numb pain. I stuck to Dr Bhatti's post procedure plan, and made sure sleep correctly every night. The crusts began to fall off after a week as expected, it was a little itchy so they fell off naturally. Don't worry, they will be off soon. It's common to see some hairs coming off too, so don't be alarmed. Make sure you don't pull the crusts off, or interfere with them, gentle washing and shampooing will loosen the crusts, and eventually they will fall off naturally. jc78 As per my original post, i took propecia (finasteride 1mg) daily before, and resumed this year. I have had no side effects, (touch wood) no pun intended either Finasteride is good to maintain what you have already, however if you're not comfortable with it, try Minoxidil. and change up your diet. Make sure you're getting enough Omega 3-6-9 Oils, and also eating healthy. Emu oil and Castor oil are good when rubbed into the scalp, and even hot Olive oil. Biotin is a good product that's common for usage for growing and maintaining healthy hair/nails/skin. Speak to your Dr or maybe your HT Dr and they can also recommend alternatives. Best of luck!
  4. Hi eternaldenied, I'm glad you're researching your HT, but please take time and don't rush into anything. Dr Bhatti is an excellent HT surgeon, and if you choose him you're in good hands. But make sure beforehand you know your goals, and realistically what can be done in your case. Remember to achieve your original hairline, you will needs lots of grafts, so maybe it's better to have a more mature, refined look, that won't cost you valuable grafts in the end. Remember that you may need more than 1 trip for a HT. Let us know if you have any questions, and best of luck.
  5. Hi HolyHair, cool name! Dr Bhatti will design your hair anyway you want it. After discussing with him about 3 times the hairline, i was very satisfied with this natural/straight design over the zig zag style, and it suits me. Over time this will look a lot more natural (Fingers crossed!) His designs are very neat, and good quality. Each to their own Don't be afraid in asking him about this, as i know he would be more than happy to help. Make sure you check out as many HT Surgeons styles as possible, so you have no doubt in what you want.
  6. 24 Days post op Hi all, here is my latest pictures. Recipient area in the front hairline is still pinkish, however I use Aloe Vera gel, arnica, Emu oil and also witch hazel to reduce redness. I'm shedding grafts, which is normal.
  7. Looking great man, congrats and hope you're enjoying it
  8. Hi KO, I have told a few people, however i'm a little shy about it yet. As time goes by, i will probably mellow out
  9. Thank you guys for the kind comments, they do mean alot to me. At the moment, my transplanted hair is shedding, which is ok, as i understand it's part of the process. I only worked 2 days last week, and i wore a cap on. Ironically on the second day one of the guys asked me why was i still wearing a hat? and what was i hiding in a humourous way. I said i had some sunburn during my time off, and he joked in front of everyone and asked had i a HT! I smiled and said nothing, but i was dreading the thought for the rest of the day he would lift my cap off as a joke, however nothing more was said. I finally stopped wearing my cap to work yesterday, and do you know what happened? NOTHING!! I went about my day as normal, smiled and did my work. I even had a 1-2-1 meeting with my boss, and there was no awkward stares or comments from anyone. I finally feel i have turned the corner, and will look forward to the next ew months with excitement and anticipation for what will happen.Time flys! I admire lot's of FUE and FUT Dr's, and think the recommended Dr's on this site are all experts in their crafts. I hope someday that Dr Bhatti is added, as he deserves recognition for his marvelous work and communication skills with his clients.
  10. Hi all, Just a quick update. I'm now 18 days post surgery, and the pinkness on the recipient area is beginning to fade, and some of the hair shafts are falling out as expected. The Donor area on the beard and back and sides of my head are still a little red, however they're getting better. I will post some new photos soon again.
  11. Hi, yes a few hair shafts. Not sure if that is good or bad. Looks like its normal though.
  12. Thank you. I owe it to an excellent doctor. My crusts are beginning to fall off today. Will upload more pics in the next few days.
  13. Hi Brian, It cost roughly €4800. Excluding flights and accommodation.
  14. Thanks KO, I guess more Donor is left for the future Well it was only 550 BHT in total that was used from the underside of the beard, which even today, I won't miss as I can see the new growth under my Jawline, so it doesn't look bad. I will post more pictures in the days to come. Dr Bhatti recommended I didn't need anymore BHT grafts for the time being.
