I think Spanker has some fantastic advice and I agree with others that you would look good with a shaved head or tightly cropped look. It will likely make you look younger, I've seen it work for a lot of guys. Truly, i'm being honest and wouldn't say that if I didn't believe it and have nothing to gain. The 30-day shaved challenge is a brilliant idea.

He is truly Elite.
That sums up my experience with Dr. Konior as well. Great post. It's just great to hear that others have had the exact same positive experience AND results that Dr. Konior provides.

Why Pittsburg might i ask?

You went from looking early 40s to mid 20s.
Haha, well said. Thanks man. Hey what's the link to your progress page?
-
hah, thanks. I basically asked for a pompadour look with very short sides. But now i have to straighten my hair to get this look, (if not it's more of the Kramer look). I may end up in the bathroom more often than my wife at this rate.I know it is nice right. lucky guy! What kinda fade/cut is that?

HairNeeded,
As a Konior patient I'm super thrilled to see your pics of your recipient zone. It all looks so familiar, it's nostalgic for me. You did your homework and you will have the best results possible with Dr. Konior.
What I know is that your head will literally transform from these photos to what it will look like at month 7, and beyond. Front and sides included. I'd say to enjoy each month, even when it all sheds out and your bald again breifly. Take it all in while allow for days that you don't even examine your scalp. That seemed to help me in the long wait.
I had some fall out from the donor area but it grew back and the scar disappeared. I got my haircut today with the sides short and there's no sign of the scar.
In my opinion I'd recommend even a slight dosage of propecia or finasteride for the bigger picture. That's a decision everyone's gotta make on their own of course. But Dr. K is a believer in it's power to keep the DHT at bay and has prescibed it at various dosages based on if side effects took place or not.
Enjoy every month, it's going to look great.

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while for me on my last update. Things are going well. Dr. Konior tells me the entire restoration will happen at 12 months and I'm at 9. I don't expect much more but I suppose it could get thicker at the root(?) But I was more intrested in a natural soft hairline than something that looks suspicious, hence Dr. K. I will say that some friends have asked if I've lost weight (nope) and mentioned i look younger. That's a nice thing to hear when you're entering your mid thirties. A couple others can't put their finger on the new look. For the most part I've changed my hairstlye from combing down to combing up.
I just got a haircut today and even had my stylist straighten my hair (via blowdryer). I was curious how that would look with the pompadour look since my hair has always had crazy curl, even when it was barely there. If this selfie isn't a testament to Dr. Konior's meticulous hairline design, I don't know what is. Thanks again for the continued support.

2 months means there's probably less hair on your head than there ever has been. It's the doldrums but I had to just not think about it. Focus on something else in your life. It's tough because it's been the build-up and focus for so long to have the procedure. But then the waiting game kicks in. It shouldn't be called waiting phase though, it should be called, "forget about it for now" phase. Hold strong bud.
Here's me at 2 months -
Here's me at 8 months -

such great results. well done Dr. K.

Sounds like based on your age, and loss stabilization you could be a good candidate. Just make sure to go to the best doctor you can find without a single bad review. I had my HT last summer and that was my main goal and am very pleased with the result. But i'd rather be bald, thinning or worse than have a bad transplant on my head.
-
Nothing really new. I think a lot of my grafts grew straight away. By 5 months or so I was cosmetically maxed out, meaning there is no noticeable change. I will probably do an update on the 30th which will be my 8 months.
That's so great, you must not have had much shockloss or slow growth. Well done man. I had to practically start from square 1 with a shaved head. hah

I have to stared to overcome it now. For the past six months I have been Looking and acting like an asshole....
The looks are the same even now.. but my attitude is changing.. I am now accepting the fact of going bald... and now care less of my hair..(Am i pretending.. I don't know)
Shitty way to live like this... a Total lie
Hope I get past this....
I know what you feel like. It's kind of a two-path choice, go for a lifetime of trying to fix it. Or completely accept it and shave it. For me it was very hard to thin at an early age (college) because I had a lot of denial. The denial came from always being told I had the thickest hair as a child, so that fused into my identity and personal value. Whether that's right or not, it's how it happened and in college my personality showed some shifts of angst the more I noticed the problem.
I know plenty of shaved head guys who look and feel great, and a lot probably has to do with how they grew up or just how they accepted it. But I don't believe it happens to anyone without a painful time period.

Thanks man, really appreciate it. I presume the big growth spurts are complete but we'll see if anything improves by my year mark. I checked out your six-month update, it's looking fantastic. Any new updates on your thread?
Dude, that looks ridiculous. It looks good damp too.Congrats!

Dry, Front and Side and uncombed:
Wet, Front and Side:
(wacky curls from my childhood return)
ORIGINAL SITUATION:
Say whaaaat? This will give you an idea of where I was last June. I stumbled onto these photos that I sent to Dr. Konior originally. It's good to always look back because it's easy to forget our past.
Pre-transplant side (It was getting tough to style with this look)
Pre-transplant front
You can see from my original state last summer why I needed such a high graft count. My hair on the side is so dark and thick so to even come close to match it we had to get a lot in there. Dang genetics.

Thanks for sharing such a personal and engaging story. Props to you for getting through it and I have no doubt that Konior could fulfill your needs a second time through. It sounds like you have a great family and support system.

Dr. Konior, you continue to make me speechless. Based on what is posted, I think you are the strip surgeon with the best results. The yield rate is amazing with you. Have you ever considered FUE? I think you are really a gifted surgeon.
His yield and hairline results truly speak for themselves, and I'm walking proof. I'm at the 8 month mark. In response to him providing FUE, I can't speak for him but I can say that after my strip surgery FUT from him in June and I literally can't find the scar even with investigating, (let alone see it). And the side of my head is cut very close, probably a two-level sheer. The healing speaks of his professional perfectionism.

I think your hair looks ridiculously good.
Thanks a lot bud, I'm impressed by Dr. Konior each time I comb my hair these days. How's you're progress going? I need to visit your page.

I dont want a scar but if I could get over it I would be camping out at Dr. Konior's office, waiting for that thing to open.
ha, best comment of the day. Yeah, and Konior was clean enough in his incision my strip scar became impossible to find 3 months in. I should try to look for it again someday.

SamSpade,
Wow! Big congratulations! Your hair looks awesome. Im so pleased for you! Your photos have been amazing, and as I mentioned in a previous post, your photos show the cleanest work that I can ever recall seeing. Koniors work is incredible. All of this and you are only 7 months out. Hopefully I can follow in your footsteps and continue to see improvements with my own results. Keep us updated and enjoy!
Thanks, yep in the whole process from the day of the operation to now, I've seen more blood with papercuts. That's great you recieved a procedure from Dr. Rahal, he's another dr. I would have been happy to go to.

I think your hair looks ridiculously good.
Thanks bud, as a Konior-bro I appreciate it big time. A...Bronior perhaps?

7-month update. things have moved a little slower than the last month, and my hair curl is back, but it's progressed. Since the length is a little longer, it's tricky to know how much progress has happened, and my temple corners feel less thick than the middle of the front.
-
Dr. K does no wrong. I'd recommend him to anyone, clearly another winner in the works.
-
Good luck man, looking good. Definitely the doldrum period is hard, I had to let myself pretend I didn't have a transplant so i didn't look in the mirror or worry that something went wrong. The real goods come in around month 5. Break a leg!

That logic doesn't make sense and has undercurrents of bizarre sexism. It's the equivalent of saying only men should get hair transplants.
As a recipient of a hair transplant, if someone is happy with the hair system route, I'm happy for them. It's the same need and void I had, and if it's being fulfilled another way, go for it.
