Don't see them until after they were given the valium? That certainly didn't happen to me. I would think there would be ethical issues with that.
The consent form is meaningless imo. No doctor is going to do it without one (in the US at least) and no patient is not going to have the procedure because of the language.

I've taken two week business trips to asia with just a carry on. Pack light.

Possible that some of your grafts just didn't fall out? That is definately the case with me.

I feel like seeds have been planted in my head and I'm anxiously waiting for them to sprout. I know the timelines for the fullness to which it should fill in, but how many weeks post surgery do you first see the little hairs starting to grow through the surface of your scalp?

Can scalp exercises be done when someone has an existing scar? For example, if you're going or a second procedure 1 year after the first one?
-
I'd say don't let location limit your choices. A flight to NYC is probably $200 from the midwest.

I'll add that I visited 3 recommended doctors and Rahal was one of them. Rahal recommended a procedure of 4,500 grafts and the other two recommended graft numbers in the mid 2,000's. I also didn't understand why reputable doctors would give vastly different estimates.

Preferably none. However I think there is an exercise(not sure of the name) where you hold yourself in place and lift your legs up(whilst locked) and bring them back down. That could work out abs and might not cause tension on the neck/scar. Double check though!

With FUE, any exercise or weight lifting is fine given it was after a decent amount of healing time(10-14 days). With FUT you want to avoid lifting for at least a month and then start off light. Deadlifts, squats, shoulder shrugs, traps, situps with or with out weights are not to be done. Follow the doctors instructions post op and even be more conservative. Last thing you want is a stretched scar for the sake of bit of muscle than can be gained later. Some doctors say 3 months minimum.
What exercise would you do for abs during the downtime?

6 months to do any weightlifting? Even if it's just to stay in shape and not build large mass?
-
If you plan on having a second procedure done in the next several years, is it a big deal if the first scar stretches a bit?
-
My doctor's instructions are that I can do anything I want after stitches are removed, including weightlifting. I know others have been told to wait longer than that. I'm not willing to trade short term muscle for a long term stretch of my scar.
Are there any specific exercises I should avoid that would stretch the back of my head?

Any clue on the cost compared to regular FUE?
-
My doctor's instructions said 1 week.

What is SMP?

This? I've heard that before but when I looked the description said nothing about hair growth.

Now that my HT is done and I'm taking minoxidil and finesteride, is there anything I can be doing other than waiting for hair to grow.
I know there are lots of scams, but are there any legitimate supplements I should be taking to support hair growth?
-
5% minoxidil in the liquid form made my head burn/flake. Foam works great for me.

Dr. True in Manhattan is worth a visit too.

How is Bosley is priced compared to the reputable surgeons? Do people go there because of cost or just lack of knowledge?

Why does your hair look thicker in the day 3 picture than the 3 month picture?

It's a different Dr. Shapiro. This stuff is probably garbage.
Dermmatch question, please respond
in Shampoos, sprays, and concealers

Is it safe to say that concealers like dermatch work better with lighter color hair than dark hair? I've tried nonogen and if I apply enough that it goes through to my scalp it looks ridiculous. My scalp becomes much darker than the rest of my head.
