  1. Hey Rob,

I am 100% it is you. You know after the surgery, did they put like a white bandage around your head only the back part? like the area's where they done the FUE sides and back. It was kind of stuck on?

I remember in the video in the post-op day 1, you and some other guy had a surgery were sharing a coffee or drink together outside? I am so sure it was you.

Yeah I am 23 and honestly I want to fix my hairline, I feel its time v money. Id rather waste money then waste time!!!

  2. Hey guys,

I would in my own opinion advise you to show support for any close friends or relatives who are expericing hairloss. I dont think many people understand how badly hairloss can effect somebodys life.

All of us are in the same boat and experience the same feeling of being helpless and depressed. So if you are feeling that, then your close friends or family with MPB are experiencing the same thing.

    Thanks

  3. Hey guys,

I am also 23 (seems to be a common age) and expericing thinning hairline. But I blame my recklessness of bleaching my hair with peroxide which totally destroyed my hairline and made me look like I am 33 lol.

I dont really mind the hairloss but it PISSES ME OFF when people stare at my baldspot when we are talking face to face. I think that is the worst thing somebody can do. Who would agree?

  4. Hi MoeyK

Thanks for your post and I too have my fingers crossed that everything continues as well as it has so far.

I will be featuring on a video as I was being filmed throughout the treatment, but they are not on line yet I don't think. I have a familiar face (everyone thinks they've seen me or know me!), so it's probably that.

I paid just under GBP 4,500 for 2,800 ( maybe slightly more), all flights and travel, all airport pickups and hospital trips in a private car, 1 week in a 5* hotel, all medication, aftercare pack etc, which is very good value based on the quality of both the trip and the surgery.

If you need any more details, just drop me an email and I'll gladly help out.

    Thanks

    Rob

    Hey Rob,

I am almost 100% positive I have seen you in a video on a hair surgeons website ( a turkish surgeon ).

Btw how did you actually find this particular surgeon? because I have tried to search online but cant seem to find any feedback at all. The only link that comes up is yours.

For 2800FUE that is pretty reasonable! Considering some of the top surgeons would charge well in excess of 10000GBP.

  5. Hey buddy,

At first glance your hair seems pretty good but upon inspection I can see the hairline has receded somewhat. The hairline is very important as it frames your face and gives character. I am experiencing the same as you with my hairline!

My best advice would be for you to do extensive research on this forum . Also what type of method do you prefer? FUE or Strip.

If its bothering you and effecting your life, if you can fix it then why not !

  6. Hey guys,

I am going on a holiday on june 25th and I just recently found out about the use of concealers to hide those thin spots. I was impressed with the results.

What would you guys recommend as the best concealer and why. Also are they waterproof.

I have heard of TOPPIK and NANOGEN. I am interested in using the concealers whilst on holiday and not sure which one to choose.

    Thanks

  7. MoeyK;

Thanks for taking the time to post and encouragement with your kind words.

In my research i didnt come across any FUE performed by Dr. Path, nor did I ever speak to him about it, so i dont know if he does but if i was gambling man i would say that he doesnt. Best to drop him an email or check his web site though.

Is there a particular reason you want to pursue FUE? I can certainly understand why people would choose FUE over FUT but personally with the loss that i had and the results that i was after, FUT was the only option for me.

I have to say you are on the right track though, as a fellow aussie, that you are looking outside of Aus as there are no quality work being done here.

Let me know if i can answer any questions mate.

    Cheers

    JF

    Hey JollyFolly,

The main reason I want to do FUE over Strip is because of the scar. I do understand that both methods cause scarring, FUE creates white dots which are barely visible and Strip causes the line across the back of the head.

I just feel uncomfortable knowing that there is the potential for the scarring from the strip surgery to turn out bad and stand out! Id prefer to be balding then to have a scar on the back of my head. I understand there is a new method of closing the scar.

In your own opinion, do you believe if I visit a doctor at the top of the tree in strip, that the scar would be barely visible? Its so frustrating this whole hair issue lol.

Yeah I will definately be going out of AUS for surgery. I cant believe the prices that surgeons in AUS charge when they dont even have a repuatation.

  8. MoeyK have you considered propecia and minoxidil? That's the first step....it's worked wonders for me. If I had found these sooner then I wouldn't need the HT on my hairline.

    Hey Tommy,

I have recently startsed using finasteride 1.25mg per day and rogaine since feb. To be honest my hairless was induced more through damage by a hairdresser. He dyed my hair and he accidentally left it in too long causing the whole frontal region to fall out and has never recovered. He must have burnt my follicles!

It's something I am really unhappy about and want fixed ASAP!

  9. As an interesting point of comparison, I have both a strip scar (from 7 years ago) and have recently had FUE surgery.

Here is a picture showing me immediately post-op and 2 weeks later. It's interesting to observe that just 2 weeks after the FUE surgery, the strip scar is far more visible and problematic:

    9922.jpg

Thanks for providing this photo. I was actually going to consider Strip over FUE due to price difference. But this photo has convinced me to work that little bit harder and little bit longer and save that extra cash!

Honestly although you are scarred from the FUE, its not detectable unless for some odd reason somebody grabs your head and scans your skin haha.

  10. Hey Buddy,

I too am pretty young (23 yo) and expericing hairloss. It has also effected my life dramatically but I have chose to man up as millions before have went through this pain. I do find it unjust that I suffer hairloss and many others dont, but I know of many people who have cancer and diseases which makes me realise hair isnt the be all and end all of life.

However since we live in the age where we fix things when they are broken, I am going to do research for a good 6months before I am totally convinced and confident in a HT surgeon. I would advise that instead of thinking of a short-term solution, its better to research about the different techniques, contact a few surgeons and make your choice.

I wish you all the best in the future and I do hope you find a solution soon.

  11. Thanks alot for the reply guys, I really do appreciate.

I have been doing hours of research over the last few weeks in relation to this. In terms of FUT the respected surgeons mentioned above have all come up. The best results I have seen seem to be through Dr Shaprio and Dr Rahal. I am not too concerned about a scar that can be hidden beneath my hair (something small), but I fear having a large scar sticking out the back of my head smiling at everyone who looks at me.

The main issue is I am only 23, so I dont know if I should let the hairloss take control and do surgery in a few years, or tackle the problem right now?

Bucksred, do you mind giving me a link to your HT?

  12. I have seen videos of Dr Lorenzo in the past and I was really impressed with the fact he has so many video's uploaded which is a positive. I am also really keen to get HT via FUE and I have nominted him as probably the number 1 doctor in the world due to the fact he has so many positive results published for anyone to view.

Apart from Dr Lorenzo, who else stands out in the FUE field and why?

    Thanks

  13. Hey Guys,

I would like some advice in relation to HT via stripsurgery. With all the advancements in technology and techniques, is it possible to receive no scar from a

Strip surgery or will it happen regardless?

Also, in your own opinion who would you recommend as a HT surgeon who is top of the tree in strip surgery.

  14. Hey Buddy,

Honestly your hair is progressing really well! Good on you for being patient. I think by time the healing and re-growing is done you will appear as though you never even had a procedure done.

I am strongly considering getting a HT done. Does Dr Feller specialise in strip or FUE?

Goodluck with all future progression. Good to see your happy.

  15. Im about to start a family and im afraid of the sides, i could be wrong though but i beleive the continues usage of any drug will create sides if not now then it could be in the long term And it's not like a risk you take for a short time and you done. Those meds have to be taken for life.

Im fine with the buzz cut down to grade 0 , all i really wanna do is frame my face with no scars and then if i start losing more native hair ill keep my hair buzzed to 0.

There is a football player called Zidan, he has a weird kind of natural balding where he still has his hairline (V shape) but he's totally bald from the crown and he keeps shaving his head and still looks 100 time better than regular bald dudes just because he still got his hair from the front (even though it's not like he has the best hair line or something but it suits his age)

You can find his pic in this link:

    http://1.bp.blogspot.com/__DaEALZWZUk/S_EftFpJxYI/AAAAAAAAEFs/8EPZcCwt98E/s1600/Zidane3.jpg

Yeah I just started taking finasteride a few months ago and I havent felt any sides yet. I do exercise regularly with gym and soccer, I diet pretty strictly as well which may be a good thing in terms of side effects.

Yeah well I would more say that zidane is a good looking character haha.

  16. Hey buddy,

From what I can tell you are a guy who has an active lifestyle and the post operation trauma of the redness or scabs is making you feel uncomfortable about your appearance and forcing you to stay home. If I was in your position I would feel the same and this post has opened my eyes. Could I handle looking bad for 3/4 months to inturn be a happy guy with a head of hair? Hmm.

It's too late to turn back so I would suggest buying ps3 games and sitting back haha.

Good luck I do hope you feel better soon and I am sure in a few months you will look back and laugh.

  17. Wow thanks for all the responses, much appreciated! Went and saw my doctor today and he gave me a prescription for Finasteride and Minoxidil,so will give that a go.

I'm definately going to do a lot more research, I guess there is a bit of desperation in there to get it done ASAP as it really messes with my confidence more than any other part of my life. But only fools rush in as they say.

    Hey Benny,

I too reside in AUS and I would highly recommend you go and see a HT DR who is recommended on this website. I have done a good 3-4 months research and I believe travelling is the best option! I will be in the usa for 2months beginning 25th june and I will go and visit a few surgeons and let you know.

With regards to propecia and rogaine make sure you purchase the generic brand "finpecia 5mg" which will only cost you 100$ for 4/5 month supply as oppose to 70$ per month for brand name propecia. Also for rogaine go on EBAY and you can purchase 6/7 cans of rogaine for 110-130 US as oppose to 3 cans in australia for 100-120.

  18. Im trying to contact dr. Wesley to see when hes expecting to have this out exactly, if it's end of 2012 or beggining of 2013 it might be worth the wait but if it's not clear when it will be out which might be end of 2013 or even after that, i dont think ill be able to wait.

Then i might either go for HST (gho procedure) if i gurantee that there will bo no scars at all as they claim, or go with regular fue knowing that grade 2 or 3 would be the shortest i can cut my hair.

I really wanna frame my face so bad man..

Once you find out let me know as well. The only problem is, because its a new technique would he garauntee he can execute it safely and with desired results?

Yeah if its end of 2013 I dont think I could wait either. Cant buy back time! Im only 23 but still I feel this is the time for me to be out there.

Honestly I cant believe HAIR could have dented my confidence so much. Why arent you on any meds though?

  19. Same thing here, i really wanna frame my face so bad and then if i keep losing my hair (baldness is progressive and unpredictable specially since i will not be taking drugs) i would like to buzz my hair as short as possible like to 0 grade or maximum 1, then my face will be framed. But with fue if you go that short ull still get those white dots.

Dr. Wesley mentioned in his website that soon he's coming out with new totally scarless procedure :

Scarless Hair Transplantation by Carlos K. Wesley, MD

Thing is im not sure when this will be available.

HST (gho procedure) is another option where they claim it leaves no scars at all since the donor hair will grow again.. But i cant find enough information and results about HST, since it's new approach that is not followed by anybody other than dr. Gho.

Keep us updated with your research. Good luvk

Yeah that is the biggest issue for me to be honest. Not too concerned about the crown area as it isnt that bad but I really want to frame my face again!

Gone are the days when i would actually ask the hairdresser to frame my face with the razor blade lol! how depressing.

Although there is a potential for scarring, is it possible to recieve no scar or very minimal?

I just had a look at that, seems amazing if it comes to fruition. But are you willing to wait until 2013?

  20. I didnt have one yet but im doing my research and planning to do one hopefully soon.

I might do mine with Dr. Keser in turkey for FUE or i might do the HST instead since im planning to keep my hear buzzed and want to avoid scaring which seems to be possible with HST.

That is the main issue I am having too. From what I have researched most doctors are good in making a natural appearing hairline, only concern is the scar!

That's only thing stopping me at the moment
