I'm new to the board and have been considering various forms of hair restoration for while now...I'm considering a Propecia/Rogaine regime for 6-8 months now and then possibly a small FUE in the temporal area...lot of it depends on what I learn from the board.
I'm curious about shedding or shock loss and then regrowth phases....when you lose hair this way, is it just the shaft/keratin fiber that is lost while the follicle remains healthy but otherwise dormant for a time? Then after a while, the follicle begins a growth phase?
Also, I'm reading threads that say that HTs are a permanent fix...guess I was wrongly under the impression that the average hair follicle had a 5-7 year life span.
