  1. Ok yall i thought id throw this out there. I have been taking propecia for about 4 1/2 months now. At about the 1 month mark i began getting a dry throat at night. Unfortunately, this coincided with winter and the dry heat in my apartment. I got a humidifier but it did not seem to help much. Now at the 4 month mark it has gotten a bit worse and keeps lingering. I decided to go to the doctor and he gave me some post nasal drip stuff. This has helped a bit... I was wondering has anyone ever had a problem with runny nose/dry throat due to proscar? Also, i think ive gained some weight in the abdomen, feeling a little bloated...(however i also quit smoking a couple months back). Its so hard to put a finger on things when i have had so many lifestyle changes not to mention a hair transplant in february..... Your thoughts are much appreciated... Cheers!

  3. Im getting psyched just thinking about it!!! lol. Thanks again for the reassuring words. Ill keep you all posted on my blog!
  4. I just talked to Adrian at Dr Rahals and he reassured me this is normal. Also told me to put a wet towel on my head for 20 minutes or so. Its become apparent that Dr Rahals post op instructions for washing is much less vigorous than most... Thanks!
  5. Ya i agree they should be gone by now. I think i will be a little more aggressive when washing as compared to being extremely gentle. One more question though, does it have a negative impact when the scabs are present for longer periods of time or is it just a cosmetic thing????
  6. Hi Yall, I was wondering what everyone thought about the fact that after 3 weeks my scabs in the recipient area are still quite substantial. Please check my blog and let me know what you think...

  8. Hi Space! Just wanted to let you know my experience with Dr Rahal was great. Very nice man with a good sense of humor. Adrian on the other hand, just kidding, honestly he was the first person i met when i went for my preop- he took all the nerves away...very down to earth guy. I know he had trouble with overloads of emails especially in february. Good work, good results means new and more business. I was very very pleased with the calmness, professionalism and kindness of all the staff. Good luck getting a date, i waited 3+ months for mine but for something so important to me, it was worth the wait and i certainly was not going to settle for nothing less. Book ASAP! Cheers!
  9. wow guys thanks for responses. Lol eman..dr rahal said i reminded him of you.. Ok so looks like maybe it isnt such a bad idea to put a little polysporin on my donor scar. Right now i wash it and keep it very clean. I have a humidifier at night going constantly keeping air moist. Dr rahal told me the exact same thing as you Eman...2 weeks for sutures to come out and no need to apply anything on the donor scar...but considering canadian bubas success with his donor scar maybe i should go somewhere in between. As for vigorously washing my scar...i dont apply to much pressure, just lightly press with my finger tips which is indicated in rahals post op instructions..im sure you didnt go that vigorously Eman..lol Anyhow, im gonna get myself some polysporin, give it a shot....then bug rahal to hurry up and send those pics and have these up in no time. Thanks again yall!!!
  10. Just had my HT with Rahal two days ago, I am washing with baby shampoo twice a day and using the vitamen e oil and all, any advice about taking care of the donor scar?? Should i not apply something? Also, should i be drying the donor scar after washing with shampoo?? Pics should be up soon guys, rahal should be sending them soon! Cheers,

  13. Thanks alot yall! I am so excited its crazy. I will start doing the laxity exercises as much as possible. Thanks again and looking forward to showing you all the magic of Rahal!
  14. Hi everyone, I am scheduled to have my first HT procedure with Dr Rahal next month. There is no doubt i am extremely nervous but everytime i come on this forum my comfort level sky rockets. Thank god for this forum!!! I do have a few questions though that i would be grateful if answered. 1. How important are the scalp laxity exercises? I have been doing them twice a day but always worry if i am doing them correctly. 2. My apartment is very dry, i have a humidifier but wonder is there anything i should do over the next month to ensure scalp healthiness? (shampoos or moisturizers) 3. I have fine red hair, does that factor in when determining the success rate of HT? Thanks in advance for all your help. I look forward to continuing my participation in this forum. Cheers!!
