"I'd peg..." That's anecdotal language. To help you further understand that its anecdotal, a good test would be: Did you cite actual statistics/examples? Answer: No. Hence, "digression into anecdotal evidence".

Do you need a lesson on what an anecdote is now?

Anecdotal "language" isn't a thing, secondly my point WAS based on statistics, yours was based on a SINGLE case. What scientific, peer reviewed statistical data is there on patient posted Nader results? It's absurd to pretend that sort of thing exists, if basing an argument on the entire collection of patient posted Nader results online is "anecdotal", then virtually nothing argued on this entire forum would be valid, and certainly your posts would not be. The fact that I made a rough generalisation doesn't change the fact that I made a point based on a statistic (not anecdotal), your pro-Nader argument was based SOLELY on Tom's result, and you threw in an ad-hominem against my transplant for good measure.

By the way, I truly feel sorry for you in that when you're embarrassing yourself to the point you genuinely sound mentally handicapped or well below basic adult level intelligence, and completely lacking in in psychological self-awareness, that you think you're "jacking" with me.  Making yourself look like an idiot (and you do it really, really well) isn't "jacking" with me.  The sad part is I know you probably sat there feeling smug at how great your retort was. Unfortunately it was an embarrassment and shows a lack of basic reading comprehension or understanding of the English language.

You really are just a horrible bloke aren’t you. All I see is your crappy posts to people. Surprised you’re allowed to keep posting.

TB I think this is actually looking really good. I’ll be honest I think it looks better when your hair is a little longer on top.

It looks good. Can you post photos taken in brighter lighting conditions, like while standing outside in the sunlight, or standing beneath an artificial light in front of your bathroom vanity?

This is probably the harshest light I could do it under:

Im very pleased, when I look back at what I looked like its so much better. Its felt a long road at times and I still hope to have the touch up to finish it off. Im not sure if I will ever look at getting my crown looked at as my journey was not just cosmetic but also involved my scar and how it made me feel mentally.

If anyone is looking to have an op done I would suggest do your research and choose carefully, Dr Farjo and his team were incredible and I couldnt recommended them highly enough.

This is what it looked like on the day of the op, I look at this quite often as it reminds me how far its come.

Hair has gone a little lighter which I think is due to the sun we've been having but apart from that only positives.

  5. So 8 months on and Im still over the moon although I am experiencing some shedding which is bit worrying. After applying regaine foam I have noticed a fair few hairs in my hand after each time. Thinking it might be the next cycle?

I had my 6 month check up with dr Farjo and I did mention about one of the sides being a little thinner than the other, he said there was still time for it to come in but if it doesnt they woudl look at a free touch up. I thought this was great as there are no guarantees as we all know I was just happy they have said they can try and sort if it doesnt come through.

Anyway here are the images taken today and I have taken some of the gap.

    Any feedback welcome.

  6. Hi guys, thinking about reducing minox fom application to once a day. When I do it in the morning it leaves my hair quite dry and stringy compared to if I dont apply it.

Anyone had any experience of reducing and did it have any effects? Reading mixed stuff on the internet so thought I'd ask.

  7. Here we are just shy of 6 months. I have seen some solid progression and now the hairline just needs to thicken up. I had explosive growth between months 3-4 and to be honest, not a lot happened between months 4-5 so I just waited until 6 to do an update. At this stage I feel no more new hairs are emerging and I am likely in the "maturation" phase. I am closely watching the right temple as this area is a bit behind the rest, I really hope it thickens up as it is clearly sparse in daylight. It feels great to actually have hair to style now. Its also a great feeling to feel some resistance as you run a comb through the hair!!

Looking great mate- you must be really chuffed.

Yours looks really dark as does mine now post op at a similar length of time. Are you using minoxidil more regularly now than you were pre op?

Im using it twice a day religously and my hair is so dark and thick sense using it post op.

  8. Looking tremendous. Still early days. Yep... the greed sets in.:D

micknick, looks like your hair growth is going along very well. I see your hair is still wiry which means you have a thicker and much better looking hair to look forward to in the months ahead. =)

Am surprised that for a relatively small number of grafts, you were able to get a lot of coverage.

    Thanks guys, appreciate you commenting.

The things thats got me is how dark and thick all my hair has gone.

Do you think the wiry appearance will thicken up and make it appear even thicker?

  9. Am I the only one thinking that this is a pretty good result for 1600 grafts? You had a large area to cover and sure I see your point of density on one side but from your pre op pictures i’d still say it was a really good improvement. Better pictures are necessary though.

I think it looks good- but like you say some better pictures would be great.

  10. I definitely think the yield on the right side has not been as good as the left. One thing i have noticed is the hair is very wiry and has a mind of its own. I'm happy with the cosmetic improvement and that i can style it better, even though the density isn't what i expected it. I'll give to the 18 month mark, as suggested, to see if there is a difference.

Not sure if i lost transplanted hair, or could have possible gone through a shed cycle..

Dolph Id be really interested to see some pictures with a decent camera- are you able to borrow one at all? Your pictures at 6 months looks great and the latest pictures look completely different.

Would be great to see with a new iphone camera or something.

  11. Coming on great. You will find the HT hair is quite wiry and difficult to manage. Biotin and minox definitely thickens the hair up. I think in 3-4 months, you will be even more pleased.

It's a real "Holy Shit" moment, when you see how bald you looked before hand..:D

Thanks Dolph- appreciate you following this thread and commenting as always nice to get feedback. I realise I havent had the Hollywood number of grafts and therefore people aren’t too interested but I’m excited to see where it goes.

A question for you though- did the front side bits come in later for you? Desperate for them to I’ll in like the front has so have complete coverage.

  12. So 5 months post op and things have started moving.

For contrast here is an image from the day of my surgery:

    DSC00834b_zpsldnzqdbj.jpg

My hair is loads darker and thicker- I have been very strict in using minoxidil foam morning and night and have been taking Biotin every day. Did anyone else find that their hair got darker and Im also getting a fair few grey hairs! Not worried about that one bit but Im pretty happy so far.

The sides where there are gaps have little hairs coming through and there seems to be more each day so am feeling loads more confident and havent worn a hat now for a couple of weeks.

  13. I'm entirely stoked with Dr. K's work and simply cannot recommend him enough. He even checked in with me recently via email, unprompted.

My family and close friends now understand why I made the trek from Southern California to Chicago.

I'm happy with the number of grafts chosen and don't currently feel the need to go back for round 2/GQ level thickness-- but if I do down the line, I'll certainly return to Dr. K and keep you all posted.
