  1. Thanks for your reply, I will carry on with taking it for at least a year as having had the HT I want the best results, but from what I can see so far I will probably need another but will wait and see.
  2. Having started on finistride in Jan 2012 I noticed a sharp decline in sex drive, first time ever, but will keep on taking it but may cut down to every other day. I have just undergone my first HT this week so want to make the most of the of it so don't want to give up on them just yet. I will also start on minoxidil in a few weeeks when the op has settled down and see what happens.
  3. Have finally done it and worth all the trouble so far. Just a pity I am in Bangkok and having to go round with a bandana on all day and holed up in my room for long periods, but small price to pay. I asked Dr Vong about a second op in the future and he said that I should wait a year as he thinks I will be more than pleased with the result. Nice to hear as it shows he is not just trying to make extra money for the sake of it. Having quite fine and light coloured hair I am certainly not ever going to get amazing results but am pleased with what I can see so far, just the one hiccup as stated in my story on my profile pics. Have also posted pics of everything so far on my profile, quality no brilliant but difficult doing on your own.
  4. Well just over a week to D-Day. I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to put their thoughts and concerns on here. It certainly has given me encouragement as well as a good insight of what to expect. I have quite fine hair and am at least a Norwood V so am not expecting amazing results but just something half decent on the front part would be good. I have booked FUT with Dr Viroj Vong in Bangkok. I couldn't get an appointment for next week with Dr Path and have met Viroj Vong last time in Bangkok and he seemed professional and has been doing transplants for 20 years. I originally wanted to have FUE so that I didn't have a scar but after reading things on here I realise that I need to got for the FUT instead. I started on 1mg of finistride back in Jan this year so to early to tell whether it is working for me but have noticed a marked decline in libido so may ease up to one every other day after 6 months. After the proceedure has healed I will also start on Minoxidil, so maybe that will aid the overall look. I will post post op pics in the next couple of weeeks and will keep you all posted on the journey I am about to undertake.
  5. Hi thanks for your response, however the doctor I saw is Dr Vong in Bangkok. However that price is very good, did you go for FUE or the strip method? The pics look very good and are those pics of the transplant immediately after or a few days after? Cheers.
  6. Hi, I am thinking about having FUE with Viroj Vong in Bangkok. I did meet with him and he seemed ok but I was wondering if anyone had a transplant with him and what experiences/ results did you have. I have read about Dr Path also in Bangkok and was wondering if he would be the better option?
