  1. Hey everyone, I started on fin about 3 weeks ago. I'm on a very low dosage of 1.25 every 3 days and just aiming to maintain my hair. Only after first week I realized i had more hairloss than usual and most of them were thin baby hairs. Can it be caused by fin in this short period of time or my hairloss was going to accelerate anyway? Thanks
  2. thz, keepingwhatihave, it's good idea. haha, it feels kind of weird to call that name. Also, thz everyone who filled the survey. It would be good if more people can fill this survey. It will not only help me, but also help people who are starting to have hair loss to make a decision. Thanks!

I watch it every time I feel weak. It's really "yourself" that's pulling you back. Keep going and get what you want in life! you can get through the tough time, just a matter of time

Hey Tommy, Do you live in Adelaide? Coz one of my friend's friend called tommy is having hair loss probelm as well. I think you should concentrate on the positive side of things. I guese one of the reason why hair loss is so depressing is because of how you think people think of you. And let it totally ruin your social life. But the look is just part of the equation. How you communicate with people is more important. If you stay positve, respect and give out good energy to people, I would say 80% of the people would treat you good. The other 20% are probably dixks who have no consideration of other people's feelings anyway. So why would you care about what they think? Stay positive!!
  5. Hey parable, It will definitely be better if there are more aussie on the site. It will help people to idenity better surgeons since there aren't any recommended australia surgeon in this site. $6000?! that's really quite expensive. Was there any products included in it? You are probably right about the laser treatment, I agree with you after doing a bit of research on the internet. My treatment ends in few months time, so I will probably make a decision by then. From the process so far, I really don't know if that helps. They showed me before and after photos and said it was improved. But I'm quite unsure since the angle and the lighting of those photos were a bit different. talk soon man
  6. Thanks for your opinion doctor. It was just that i was really freaked out when i see that bold spot. You are right, dr. I know I'm not luckiest person, but definitely not the unluckiest person on earth. I got sucked into this dark reality of concerning too much, looking at the mirror and people's hair everyday and wonder why this is happening to me. This way of thinking is really ruining the time i should have spent on acheving my goals and dream! And can anyone possbily identify from the photo whether the situation is getting worse? This will really help me to decide what to do next. Thanks a lot!
  7. Hey all. I'm a 21 year old hair loss sufferer and having a really difficult time deciding whether or not to take Finasteride. As there seem to be some people getting perminant side effect. I have been doing fair a bit of research on the internet and many positive feedback on Finasteride seem to be a bit "Unreal". Many of them sounds like comerical released stories. Since people here knows each other here so the credibility of each of your feedback will be much higher. And it will be really apprecaited if any of you can share your experience and help me in making this decision. 1. How long have you been on Finasteride? 2. Have you experiencing side effects? If yes, what are the side effects? 3. Did you quite the drug once the side effects came up? 4. Did the side effects go away after you quite? 5. What is your overall feedback on this drug? Thank you so much for your time! Really appreciate it
  8. hi everyone, It's nice to meet you all here. I'm 21 and from adelaide. I'm still too young to have hair transplant so my plan for now is just to keep what i've got. i hv been using revivogen and have laser treatment for 7 months. Not 100% sure if it helps. and Parable, did you have bad experience with dr marzola or sth? I've actually been to his clinic in the start of this year. He asked me to use proscar and regaine, but i was concerned with the sides of proscar so I just went somewhere else for help.
  9. Thz for your reply Bill. It's good to know there's nothing abnormal. I was acutally considering using Propecia and Rogaine after i realized I have a blod spot. But I was really concern with the mental and physical side effects: eg. depression, man boobs and erection problem. There are some people on www.propeciahelp.com/ who has permanint side effect. One of them only had 7 pills and the side effects don't go away 2 years after he quitted. I think the possbility of having permanint side effect is quite low, but who knows if I'm one of those small percentage? Also, from your experience, do you think my hair loss is getting worse since march? Thanks for your help
  10. sorry guys. I can't get all photos taken in September working. Here are the links:
  11. Hey everyone. I just joined this forum and its nice to meet you all. I'm a 21 year old boy and i realize i have receeding hair line at the age of 20. I've been using revivogen and under laser treatment for the past 7 months. Overall I'm quite happy with the result as they seem to maintain my current hair. However, I just realized there seem to have a bold spot on the both side of my head near(but not connected to) the vertex area, which I found pretty weird as most people start losing their hair from the temples and crown areas? And here are the photos: A photo b4 using revivogen and laser in March 2009: Photos taken in September 2009: What do you guys think about that? It's been a quite a tough time to face hair loss in a young age. Especially when I look at my friends and they have perfectly fine hair. I really do feel better after knowing there are people who are willing to support each other in this forum. And I really appreciate it. Thank you!
