  1. Hello everyone! I've been away for a while. Here are my 6 month pics. I am wondering what to expect from this point on. Will I notice little grafts poking their head out from the recipient area? Will existing hairs get fuller? I took these pics in the same room with what seems to be the same lighting as the pics before this transplant with Dr. Lindsey. Any advice would be appreciated.
  2. I agree. Month 4 is like the second lap to me. I'm at a month. You got two more months than me mate! Growth is coming!
  3. Well it's been a month since my HT of 1394 grafts and scar revision with Dr. Lindsey. Not much happening here. Had some shock loss. Donor area can be sore at times and it is still numb. I still have to take it easy with the weightlifting. Scar looks better than the first couple weeks. Recipient area feels normal. Let the waiting begin!
  4. Thanks all. Wanted to show the strip so the scar issue and how it affects graft counts could be seen. I'll keep that photo of where it came from to myself!
  5. This is my experience with Dr. Lindsey who just completed my third HT. My two prior HT's were done by a doctor who is not part of this network in 2005 and 2006 and what I was left with was two wide scars and very sparse coverage. So Dr. Lindsey and his staff combined my two scars into one HOPEFULLY good scar and 1394 grafts, 816 singles and 578 doubles. 750 single slits on the front...and they were 0.88mm wide and then the rest were doubles at about 1.2mm wide. He did a good job packing the hairline which was my main concern. We had hoped for more grafts to continue to fill in the frontal area but dealing with my previous two scars limited the grafts:(. Live and learn. I will look at my options in 6 months to try to fill in the rest. All and all I am pleased with the overall result Dr. Lindsey and his staff provided me with. Thanks to Dr. Lindsey and his staff, all who answered my posts, Spex and Bucksred. I will continue to post more pics on this thread as the earth keeps spinning and add them to my hair loss website.
  6. Looking good. Nice work Dr. Lindsey and good write up CountryBoy. I am going to see Dr. Lindsey next month for hopefully 2500 also. What hotel did you stay at that was so close?
  7. Thanks all. Good advice. I will use this info in the final planning of my HT.
  8. He told me from my photo that my scars looked a bit wide and that I should perform scalp exercises. I just recently found out that one scar is the best way to go even with multiple surgeries. I am still pondering what to do and gathering information.
  9. Well, my big day is coming up. I am getting ready to have my third hair transplant with Dr. Lindsey in Mclean Virginia. My prior two hair transplants are from a doctor who is not part of this network. One in 2004 and one in 2005. Unfortunately I am left with two scars that are 1/2 cm thick with approximately 1/2 cm of hair in between the scars. So do combine my two scars together to make 1 scar or should I have a third scar to get the most grafts I can? I don't like the sound of the second option but I am not sure if I am going to get the grafts I need from in between my prior scars. It would be great to only have one scar. I have to use a #6 guard on my sides to hide the scars now. I am going for 2500 grafts this time. Any advice would be helpful. I am thankful for this site and the posters here as you all help save me from going to a hair mill for my third HT. Two mistakes are bad enough!!!!!!
  10. Looks like all is going according to schedule. Wow one month already! I go see Dr. Lindsey in exactly a month from today. What length did you cut your hair to in the donor area? Thanks for the pics. I'm getting amped up!
  11. Thanks for posting! Going to see Dr. Lindsey in May and your posts have been encouraging. Congrats.
  12. Thanks David. Glad to be a part of this site. I can't seem to find the new thread button to post with. I would like to post but not sure how
