    Thanks mate

I have sent you a PM with my email id. We can surely be in touch.

Your hairloss is not that bad. At this stage you can actually get a good transplant which can return you at Norwood 2 or even 1.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am praying and hoping to get good results.

I request all Dr. Radha Rani's patients to please share their experiences with detailed pics as there are some doubts being raised about her results. See this thread for more,

This is making me really anxious and jittery.

  2. After reading positive reviews about Dr. Radha Rani on this forum, I finally decided to contact her and get my HT done through here. Through this thread I will maintain a log of all my HT. I am 29 years and from India. I have tried different types of medication through the last 5-6 years but nothing has been working.

    October 2012

I first emailed Dr. Radha Rani and sent my photographs to her and waited for her reply. The photographs that I sent to her can be seen below. She replied by saying that I needed approximately 2000-2500 grafts in the forehead and around 1000 grafts in the crown area. She quoted her charges as 50/- per graft even for an Indian National like me. And she also said she would do a FUT for me. Another important thing that she confirmed was that she does only 1 surgery per day and she would be present throughout the surgery for around 8 hours. She also said on email that she can offer 300 grafts for free when I asked for any deals for 2 or more members willing to go for a HT.

    November 2012

I decided to visit her clinic before getting the HT done just for my satisfaction and hence me and a friend who was also interested in a consultation visited Visakhapatnam. I personally did not like the look and feel of the surroundings of her clinic and it wasn't like any traditional hospital. It is located in a commercial building and felt a bit shady. Me and friend finally met Dr. Radha Rani in person and she provided a brief consultation for us and confirmed again that I would require 2000 grafts or so in the front and 1000 in the crown area. She also mentioned that I might have to come back for a HT in the future.

    February 2013

I finally have fixed my HT with her for 21/Feb/2013 and will post my current pictures in my next post. All these days I have not been taking any medication except for applying fresh home made Hibiscus extract on my scalp 2-3 times a week.

I would like members here to advice about anything that I should keep in mind and be wary of. I am hoping to see good results if not anything spectacular. Also if any member who is getting his HT done around the same time wants to get in touch, please PM me.

  3. Hey ahmed9500. I have also booked my HT with Dr. Radha Rani for the 21st of Feb 2013. Do PM me if you are interested in catching up and sharing your experience. I am also getting really anxious looking at some threads on this forum that raise a doubt about Dr. Radha Rani. Also where are you planning to stay during your visit?

  4. I had read about this sometime back.

Any idea how effective it is? It is being practiced by one of the most reputed hospitals (Apollo Hospital, Delhi) in India so it doesn't look like a scam to me but I would definitely like to know more about the same.

  5. tihom,

Dr. Madhu's advice is sound. Based on your photos, you should medically stabilize your hair loss before considering hair transplant surgery.

As the good doctor suggested, consult with a dermatologist and discuss Rogaine (minoxidil) and Propecia (finasteride). Wait a year and see if the drugs restore any hair.

Hey. Actually I am worried about the side effects of those drugs. Is it a problem if I go for a hair transplant as of now? I thought it would be better to go with it as early as possible because right now I have good amount of donor hair.

And I doubt that those drugs are going to help with my hairline which has fallen back considerably. They will mostly help with the crown area I think.

  6. I had sent my photographs to Dr Madhu on his website for an online consultation and I got this reply:

    Hello ####,

Thank you for contacting us and uploading the pictures and details. From the above pictures it is appearing like male pattern baldness which is a continuous ongoing process.Your existing hair is very temporary hence it is better to consult a dermatologist near by your place and start the medical treatment. There is FDA approved medicine available which helps in retaining your existing hair and prevent further progression of baldness up to certain extent.

    Regards,

    Dr.Madhu's advanced hair transplant center.

I don't think those drugs are going to help me regain my hairline and my crown area is also getting worse. Please advise what you guys think.

Also, can somebody please PM me Dr. Radha Rani's email id or contact details? I will send the pictures to her as well. Thanks.

  7. I am a 28 year old male from India. I am suffering from hair loss since the last 5-6 years or so. I did try a lot of medicines both homeopathic and others but had never been regular and hence my condition has worsened. I am attaching my current pics in this thread. Please advise whether I should go for a HT or not. My hairline has already receded considerably and my crown area is becoming worse with every passing day. Currently I am not taking any kind of medicines for hair loss and would prefer avoiding medicines because of their side effects.

Other hair conditions: I also suffer from acne/boils in my scalp which are painful and itchy most of the time. I do shampoo daily and feel better but I have never been able to cure them.

I have done my research on this forum and I found the following the doctors to be good in India by reading others experiences on the forum:

    1. Dr Madhu , Hyderabad (Forum recommended/certified)

    2. Dr. Puli Ravindra Reddy, Hyderabad

    3. Dr. Radha Rani, Visakhapatnam

Please have a look at my pics and also advise on which doc should I consider.

    Thanks.
