  1. Hi all, I know there are threads about this, but I thought I'd cast a quick line to see if anyone could help ease my paranoia.... I'm now 8 weeks post-op 1000 grafts to my crown. I've been extremely careful, and pretty pleased that no problems developed. I wash concealer out every night, and never have had any other issues....UNTIL NOW!! This weekend I was outside at a friend's swimming for MAYBE 25 minutes, probably less. I got a very slight sunburn (yes I fry that quickly!) It's nothing bad, but I could tell in the mirror on my shoulders, arms, and yes, CROWN!! Could this have been my undoing?! It was very slight, and never even hurt. Needless to say it went away quickly as this sun burn/exposure was pretty slight, but I wanted to hear if anyone thought there was anything to do, or at least if this was going to come back to haunt me. I appreciate the thoughts, do share!! Thanks!!
  2. You've only been using the rogaine once per day? I know it's indicated to be used twice.... Why did you choose to use it only once, as it appears to still be affective. I don't know if I can pull off twice a day, but once I could do (at night). Did you experience any shedding still with the once per day frequency? Great pics!!
  3. I've used propecia/finasteride for years, but never bothered with Minoxidil, as it was both tricky to figure out time to have it in as indicated, as well as hearing mixed results.... My question is, have people had experience starting the use of Minoxidil products after transplant procedures? Is there a too soon to start, or is it a good thing to start immediately after the procedure? Anybody out there have any first hand experience or thoughts on this? Thanks!!
  4. Thanks for the prompt reply!! I agree that seems most reasonable, and while I didn't start using it until about 14 days after my HT I'm still going to wash it out at night for a while, just for some 'air-time' for the recipient area. My only question is, do you think it matters that it's on your scalp also? I know the fiber-based concealer is primarily in the hair that is already existing, but realistically, plenty still makes it down to, and lays on the scalp. Any thoughts on this? I still think it's probably fine, especially washing it out every night, but just food for discussion if you have any thoughts....
  5. I just had about 1000 grafts transplanted to the crown. I know the first couple weeks are pretty delicate. How soon after is the consensus that you can restart using concealers like Toppik? I have a wedding that will be 11 days after the procedure, too soon?
  6. Hey any commentary on Toppik use following transplant effecting the grafts?? I had my procedure and after 2 weeks they said I could use whatever I wanted, including Toppik. I was using it, and usually washing it out at night. After time I started to not always wash it out, but did wash my hair daily. Anyone think that could have really impacted the graft prognosis? It's been just shy of 5 months and I have pretty minimal yield, hoping I didn't do anything dumb there an screw my procedure up. Thoughts??
