This can mask the scar but be careful as it'll be pretty sensitive.

My experience was that people didn't know I had a HT just saw a scar.....it could be anything and most people probably don't want to ask.

One guy in the office knew and that was only cus he was thinking of a HT and became a confidant.

Yes, it lives up to my expectations....actually it lives up to what I wished for! I have definately achieved what I wanted from my HT, I am a (40 year old) beach bum again!

Until I grew my hair and added the colour/style that I now have, I didn't realize how much hair I really had. There may be weaker areas but you can't really see them and that's what its really all about. Until you really look at websites like these and patient's results, you do not realize that the illusion of a full head of hair or minimal hair loss is so hard to achieve. I will continue to grow it until someone tells me I'm too old for the Seattle look.

When you realize the task faced by a surgeon and his/her team is to completely remove grafts and redistribute them without them being severely harmed or destroyed, it highlights just how far things have come. Then you start thinking about how they are placed and hiding the evidence of a HT, it really does bring home the skills of surgeon such as Dr Hasson and others in the coalition.

To read the positive effect it has on improving people's lives and how they feel about themselves is a good thing but to share it, is great.

Hard to tell from the photos but what does seem evident is considering the area in which the 1500 grafts have been spread over, it looks as if they have pretty much all taken.

What really matters is what you think?

1500 grafts for such a large area isn't a massive amount so the coverage is pretty damn good.

Its been nearly 9 months since those 5k grafts were planted in my bonce. I decided to get a new hairstyle that would hopefully enhance the growth so far....I think I've achieved a solid mid-life crisis look!

My honest opinions:

HT

The procedure was long but considering that, it was not painful or overly uncomfortable...My backside was suitably numb!

The swelling was pretty bad and the first couple of weeks being careful was a nightmare.

The shedding was harrowing.

The growth was slow and so frustrating.

The new style makes the hair look dramatically thicker than it is but definitely looks so much better than pre-op. The right middle area is thinner than the rest, the (top) image highlights this if you look closely but the style hides it well. Whether that is down to it only being 9 months and it needs more maturation or that some didn't take....time will tell.

I should evaluate at 12 months to give it a fair chance

Am I happy? Yes, most certainly I am

I cannot fault them for answering my questions or concerns. Joe has said that I should give it another 3 months before making any judgements and considers my progress as quite good. I'm sure that H&W will help me consider my options at the final post. I would consider a further procedure with them if I needed it without question. I would also recommend that those considering a HT put them in the list of top contenders for the job.

Another great result. The distribution of the grafts has resulted in good coverage and framed his face nicely. This has had an obvious cosmetic improvement and knocked years off the guy.

Hey great results, you must be happy. Very natural looking. I kinda agree with the lighting issue but then surely with the coverage you get from a HT, we have to expect this. As good as a HT is, limitations are there. some are lucky with their characteristics etc but as they say hair is better than none and yours looks one fine outcome

Kinda agree that maybe you should leave it a there for now as you know there's a fair bit of donor for the future should you need it but hey, its your call and perfection is such a temptation.

I'm not sure I agree that Propecia is the a major factor in this at all and nor I am going to enter a debate that I can't prove either way. What I will say is that the procedure has without doubt created the foundation for an outstanding end result!

I have found losing body-fat on fin' difficult in comparison to before. My test levels are low so this would naturally make things harder. I don't know whether fin' is has made things more difficult but I'm edging towards thinking there may be a link.

My diet is spot on and the cardio/weights should result in lowering my bodyfat as it once did but alas not these days...I keep on trying though

Take this advice....it is sound advice.

Go to your family doctor or asked to be referred to an endocrinoligist. This is not bad advice at all. As the man says, homostasis is our body's way of balancing things or ultimately survival. An unbalanced endocrine system can have some pretty harsh repercussions.

Qualified or a learned bodybuilder, either way, its good advice.

Symptoms of low test may certainly include brain fog, fatigue, depression etc

Many bodybuilders coming of test result in this oestrogen rebound and a good PCT is necessary.

Be very cautions of the Hospital Group. I had a "free" consultation with them that ultimately cost me ??500 deposit before I saw sense.

I had a consultation at Farjos' last Monday. I can honestly say, a world apart thus far from HG. I think I met Mick and met Dr Farjo (with HG you won't meet the surgeon). I found that it was me pushing for HT and not them. Both of them came across as nice guys and genuine.

I work in the public sector so its important for me to get it done right. I feel a lot more confident with Farjos'

Like many I'm sure, I am nervous about HT's success.

I had a bad experience with a certain mainstream group who gave me a "free" consultation, only to tell me how beautiful my eyes where and how I'd have a full head of hair by x-mas! That should have warned me off but needless to say they robbed me of my deposit before I saw sense and looked elsewhere.

Brian, it was reassuring to hear about your positive experience at Farjo's! This is why I jumped in on your thread (I should post one on the consultation threads).

I had a consultation at the Farjo Clinic last Monday. I think its Mick that I saw as well as the main man himself. Both came across as nice guys.

I must say that I was a little unsure what to expect but thus far I'm impressed. What I liked about them is that I found it was me pushing for HT, not them and not once did they comment on my eyes!

I'm still eagerly await the e-mail.....and dream of a thatched bonce that I intend to sculpture into a multitude of bad 80's haircuts.

I cannot see that smoking mary havin any more of an impact than just plain tobacco. However, doesn't smoking increase blood pressure? If so, then surely that will increase the chance of bleeding and thus the healing.

Once the healing has settled then I would assume blood circulation becomes an important factor in the maintenance of your HT...either way, smokin aint good for u.

I'm with ya on the tendency to have a wee toot but it's a personal choice.....I gave up and occasionally treat myself to the odd cookie.
