  1. There is a lot of generic finasteride out there but not all may be legitimate. The two I can recommend are Finpecia(by Cipla) and Finax(Dr. Reddy's) manufactured in India. Both Cipla and Dr. Reddy's are reputed pharma companies in India. I grew up in India and my dad is a doctor who still practices there. He's been prescribing Cipla drugs for over 3 decades. I personally started taking Finpecia a month ago and am seeing positive results already. I buy from unitedpharmacies.com - although I don't know why they don't accept Mastercard.
  2. Finpecia is great. I've been using it for a month and already seeing positive results. By the way, I grew up in India and my dad is a doctor. He has been prescribing Cipla drugs for 3 decades now. It's a reputed pharmaceutical company so I'm pretty sure they're not making bogus stuff.
  3. Hey guys, I came across this Canadian Rx store http://www.unionpharmacy.biz. It's offering 270 pills for only 30 cents - no prescription needed. Shipping is not that expensive either. The catch of course is that this is generic finasteride. Should I go for it or stay away? Thanks, Roy
  4. Hey guys, I am planning on going into HT surgery with SMG in the next few weeks. I am currently not on any finasteride or minoxidil regimen (have never been). If SMG recommends, I will get on it post-op but I after reading through some posts here I am wondering if I should have already started a regimen a year ago. What are the risks of going into surgery without being on finasteride? My hair loss is getting really bad and I would not like to wait 1 more year. Thanks, Roy.
  5. You don't need a new product. You need a new girl. One that doesn't rub her hand through your hair.
  6. Hey guys, Hoping to get some advice from experienced concealer users. I will be considering HT in the near future but meanwhile want to try out and see if a concealer will work for me. My only problem is the crown and i'm wondering if Toppik or other concealers work well for it. From some of the posts here it sounds like there needs to be some hair in the balding area for concealers to work. Well I do have "some" hair - probably 10-15% left. Anyway here's my pic - you be the judge! Also ideally much much in advance of my HT should I stop using the concealer? (or do i need to stop at all?) Thanks in Advance! Roy
  7. Hi All, I think I have a very unique hairloss pattern. Picture attached for your entertainment. I do not not have a receding hairline and in fact my hair density in the front part of my scalp is quite good. However my crown area is almost completely bald. This does not seem to match any pattern on the Hamilton Norwood scale. Have any of you seen or experienced this type of hair loss before. I am pretty sure it's MPB and not anyhting else (I've had physical checkups and everyhtings normal). Also I've been losing hair slowly over the years. Also could any of the physicans or HT clinc spokespersons on this forum speak to how many grafts and sessions will I need to fix this? Thanks! Roy
  8. I am 32/Male with substantial hair loss in the crown area. Fortunately frontal hairline is still intact and has good density. I am considering my first transplant procedure in the next few weeks. I live in Madison, Wisconsin and am willing to drive a few hundredd miles for the right doctor . I've heard rave reviews about Dr. Ron & Paul Shapiro in Minneapolis and had already set my mind on going with their clinic. However I can easily drive to Chicago as well and looks like there are a few there I could consider such as Dr. Ray Konior or Dr. Vladimir Panine. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.
