  1. Yeah I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to the next op but last time I didn't sleep the night before on purpose and had about 3 valium when I got there, but I slept through probably 80% of the day and will do the same next time.
  2. Good to hear you are happy with him, I'm over the moon with the work he did on me and will be going back within a few months to get the crown and back area done, I was the first westerner he did the zigzag cut on nearly 3yrs ago, one thing I really need to do is start doing the scalp stretching exercises so he can get a lot more grafts. I've actually grown the previous graft long so I can comb my hair back and cover the new grafts as I have to walk my daughter down the aisle later in the year, nearly reaches my chin lol. Only complaint I had which is really trivial is that the back of my head still feels a little numb after all this time, only notice it if I lean against a wall or lay flat on the floor. I stayed near the night markets and found the town quite interesting and if you haven't done one - go do an elephant, ring neck tribe, tiger, orchid, snake tours, well worth the $40ish dollars and the zoo is really good too and not that far from his surgery, lots of panda's.
  3. I can't give him or his staff enough praise, they washed my hair every day for 10 days then de-scabbed my head, I think all of the girls at the time of my op had been with him for 9yrs, he is a genuinely nice guy, you'll notice most of his clientele are either Australian or Asian, I stayed in CM for 2 weeks then headed up to Fang then Chang Rai after that. When I went back in July of 12 I ended up living in Udon Thani for about 5 months but then after a night of drunken debauchery I had a very small heart attack so need to stay here to make sure everything health wise pans out ok before I go back for any great length of time but so far so good. When I was in the chair I modified his line as he had it too pointy at the top of the M, he happily complied, do what I did and don't sleep the night before, I took a couple of Valium, slept like a baby and probably remember 20min of the whole day
  4. I would 100%, I've let mine go/grow and it's down to my chin now from being pretty short about 11 months ago, I'll probably go back to him in April to get the crown done.
  5. Ah I see the avatar pic now, looks great but I think we should keep him a secret, try using photobucket.
  6. Pics not loading.......... I've been in Thailand for the past 5 1/2 months but keep putting off my next visit/op because I'm too lazy to my scalp stretching exercises
  7. Here's mine after about 12&1/2 months, not brushed but I usually don't bother to, I'm back in Thailand now for a few months and will make an appointment soon to have the crown area done, I just have to get off my arse and do some scalp stretching exercises first. Before Day of op A couple of weeks ago
  8. Yeah mine was probably not related though after 9 1/2 months it's still a little numb around my crown.
  9. I've gotten very dizzy when in the hot sun since the opp (almost instantly) but not sure if it's related, lasted for about 4 months
  10. Looking great and very similar results to mine, I am about 3 weeks behind you and will possibly be getting my second transplant around the same time as you, I e-mailed Dr Pong a few weeks ago asking if I can get in around August but he suggested I wait until around December and do stretching exercises for a few months first. I'll see if I can get in a day or two either way from you and we can hopefully catch up and moan about not being able to have a drink or do any vigorous exercise. I'm going to live in Thailand in about 6 weeks but in Krabi in the south so the lovely lady who I met on the transplant trip had better get her fingers muscled up ready for a bit of head massaging, I want to go in there with a head full of skin like one of those Chinese dogs so he can get a good harvest.
  11. Hence the reason I came in to defend Dr Pong, this guy seems to have some sort of agenda because he supposedly refused to operate on his man friend (post some pics of what you asked him to fix Harari, you obviously have them as you've been posting them to doctors all over the world) maybe he should shut his mouth until he can prove Dr Pong is a bad surgeon, just because someone is not recommended on this or other forums doesn't mean shit, the happy customers are what count and as I've said before, the majority of his customers are Asian and most of the rest Australian who unlike some Americans are rather modest don't feel the need to post something every time they wipe their arse. Therefore Dr Pong is not as well known, mainly because of his customer demographic and personally he has told me he has more than enough qualifications and customers without being on forums like this looking for more.
  12. Thanks Jimmy, that was pretty much bed hair but it's getting to the length I can push it down & flick it across.........Been a long time since that happened, I'll cut it when it reaches my eyes lol.
  13. It's my hair at 9 months after going to Dr Pong..... Harari got annoyed because Dr Pong refused to see his friend who had had a bad transplant by another doctor in the past and I suggested maybe he didn't want to fix another doctors mess....I have no idea why Dr Pong didn't want to do it but Harari got all uppity saying he was very unprofessional if that was the case and I said I didn't care........pretty much what it boils down to.
  14. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Pong, I'll be going back in a few months to have the crown area done.
  15. I've got no idea what his reasons were and personally couldn't give a rats arse, his surgery so he does what he wants to do or doesn't want to do! My care factor.................Zero.
  16. "HE" doesn't actually do the implants, he has 2 very experienced girls who take a side each, Dr pong is there for medical reasons, supervision etc...see photo's page 6.
  17. Here's mine at nearly 9 months as posted in another thread.
  18. Maybe he has enough work to not worry about go to the hassle of fixing another doctor's mess. After nearly 9 months.
  19. Personally I think he has enough customers so lets keep him a secret for ourselves, I actually asked him why he wasn't on forums like this and he said he wasn't really interested because he had more than enough work to keep him happy, he's a genuinely nice man.
  20. I'm pretty sure you'll find he's off most Sundays, when I saw him last year he told me he'd performed 270 transplants in the previous 12 months, I guess because many of his patients are Asians and not able to take time off like we can in the west he may perform operations for them on weekends to fit in with their schedules, Mine at over 8 months is going great, I'm over the moon with the results and looking forward to getting the crown filled in in a few months. He and the staff seemed to be some of the kindest and most relaxed people I've dealt with.
  21. Hey, congratulations and great to hear it's all gone so well, you'll be over the moon in about 5 months, it's pretty well established by then and just gets better by the day, I'm at 7 months and can't believe they laid the hairs in the same way they came off the graft so they all follow the same wave pattern, my fringe was always straight when I was younger so 20yrs after losing it it's come back with some style lol.
  22. He can also supply your drugs and will post them to you, yes apparently they are much cheaper in Thailand, don't stress just take a couple of Valium on the day and you'll be right, he and the staff are great and will have you at ease in no time, make sure you post on here how you went.
  23. Haha, that's the big stitches that hold your head together, I had one removed after a few days because it was so annoying but he doesn't tell you about the dozens of dissolving ones that last for ages, best feeling is when the girls pick all the scabs off and you can run your hand over your head without it feeling like a cheese grater.
  24. I just want to grow it long enough so I can flick it out of my eyes haha, then I'll cut it. If you go back in the thread you'll see I was much worse than you so I'd say you'll get even better coverage.............good luck.
  25. Wow, no need to even wear a bandana, he's bloody good.
