  1. While we have seen early growth in patients in the past, few have ever returned only 4.5 months after surgery with their hair transplanted hair this long. Dr. Bloxham says that his hair is still immature and will thicken up a lot in the coming months. Enjoy. Tara Feller and Bloxham Medical, PC Great Neck, NY
  2. Hi Everyone, Here is a video Dr. Bloxham and Dr. Feller shot of a patient who visited 10 months after his hair transplant with us. Tara Feller and Bloxham Hair Transplants
  3. Hi Everyone, Dr Feller and Dr Bloxham asked me to upload a new version of "scar search" episode 3B. It now includes before and after photos of the recipient area. Enjoy! - Tara
  4. Hi Everyone, This patient visited to book for a procedure, but he already had one with us before. 2500 grafts into the hairline and the front portion of the scalp. We will be doing his crown next. Enjoy the presentation. Tara Feller and Bloxham Hair Transplants Great Neck, NY 516-487-3797
  5. You wouldn't think so, but there are STILL clinics out there performing the old style plug work both in the US and abroad. Of course this is an out of date method, but one must admit that it does do an excellent job at thickening up a thin area as long as that area is well behind the hairline and there are at least SOME surrounding native hairs. This patient had the old style procedure years before I met him and I have no doubt it worked well for a few years. That is until he lost enough of his native hairs in the front to allow the bases of the plugs to become visible. So I simply sought to blend the plugs into some new hair to give him some density and coverage. So I danced in his donor area around a ton of scar tissue and was able to remove 2500 grafts. I implanted them in the hairline, always important, and between the old plugs in the mid-scalp. Here's how he looked 18 months later. Dr. Feller Great Neck, NY
  6. Hi everyone. Dr. Bloxham asked me to post this patient who had the old style of hair transplantation done years ago. He had the classic dolls head appearance which he was able to hide with long hair but decided it would be best to get it fixed. Dr. Feller performed one FUT procedure on him with 3,000 grafts and here he is after 3 years. If any question please feel free. Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY
  7. Hi Everyone, This month's patient had an FUE transplant of 1750 grafts into his hairline a year and a half before visiting us. Almost none of it grew, but the areas that did looked curly and unnatural. Dr. Feller believed the growth failure was due to the inappropriate use of the FUE procedure and recommended an FUT procedure to repair it. The patient agreed and Dr. Feller performed 1600 into the hairline. He was just back for a second FUT procedure just behind the hairline. Here are the results of his first procedure with Dr. Feller. We will update with the second procedure results in one year. If any questions feel free to ask. Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY
  8. Hi everyone. Dr. Feller and Dr. Bloxham asked me to post this patient result. Any questions feel free. Tara Feller and Bloxham, PC Hair Transplant Surgery 3000 grafts in one session to the hairline and frontal scalp, 10 month follow up:
  9. It had been years since this patient had a hairline or any real density on the top of his head. His goal was to rebuild his hairline and thicken the top. Dr. Feller decided to hold off on doing his whole crown so that he could focus all the density in the front in top. Dr. Feller implanted 3,000 grafts into those areas and here are his results 3 years later. Patient is now ready to fill the back of the crown. Enjoy! Tara, HT technician for Feller Medical, PC BEFORE
  10. Hi Everyone, 3100 grafts (FUT) placed into the front and top in one session about a year ago. If you have any questions don't hesitate. Thanks! Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY
  11. Hello, This patient came to us 6 months ago and has kindly kept us updated on his progress with his own clear pictures. Please find attached his own pre op pictures, 4 months post op and 6 month updates. He is growing well and we look forward to seeing his 8 month along with 12 month updates as and when they happen. I will add his pictures when he sends them. Once Dr Feller has time he will include pictures taken in the office on the day of his surgery also. Regards Feller Medical
  12. Hi Everyone, Many patients who have had prior old HT work and are not happy are understandably hesitant to try yet another procedure for fear that it may make things worse. Dr. Feller asked me to post this result. He had old minigrafts and a lot of scarring on his hairline from old procedure performed elsewhere. Along with a very unnatural look there really was no hairline despite all the work he had as well as little hair volume volume. Dr. Feller was able to remove 1800 grafts from the scarred up donor area and dense pack them into the original minigraft hairline to blend it and lower the hairline a bit to make it look softer. The procedure went well and he returned to say hello 8 months later. He was thrilled with his results and, as usual, wanted to see if we could do more. Here are his photos. Have a nice day everyone. 13. Hell everyone. This patient had a very poor procedure performed elsewhere. His prior doctor used the old style minigrafts and spread them around the front of his scalp. The result was an extremely unnatural look that left him wishing he had never had a procedure in the first place. When meeting Dr. Feller he was reserved about having another procedure, but felt he had no choice. Dr. Feller implanted nearly 3000 grafts in between the old grafts in the front third of the scalp. All photos taken at the 8 month mark so more thickening to come, but even at this point the patient was so happy he scheduled a second procedure to cover his thinning crown. Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY
  14. Hello everyone, this patient visited 10 months after his procedure of 2400 grafts with us. We have more pictures to post on this patient but the website isn't allowing more than four at this time. Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY 516-487-3797
  15. For some reason the before photos didn't print in the post above, so here they are: Take care, Tara
  16. Hello everyone. Dr. Feller asked me to post the results of a repair he did. This patient had two procedures in the past (elsewhere) on his hairline with very poor results. While it looks like he had some growth, the hairs were very very thin. Dr. Feller did one procedure of 2000 grafts right into the same area and these are the results at 11 months.
  17. Hello everyone. This young man had a procedure performed elsewhere and was justifiably not satisfied with his result. The problem? Two few grafts implanted too far apart from each other. Needless to say he was wary of seeking out another procedure, but also felt he didn't have much choice as he was getting engaged soon and just wanted to move on with his life. Dr. Feller implanted 2500 real follicular unit grafts in one procedure in to the frontal area. The after photos are 10 months later. The last photo he allowed us to post. That is him with his fiance. That's what it's all about... Tara Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY 516-487-3797
  18. Hello everybody, Dr. Feller asked me to post these photos of a patient who just visited us three years after his surgery. We did 2500 grafts in one session via FUT. He has some of his own hairline, but lost all of his hair just behind it. This gave the bald area an appearance of a hole on the top of his head and was the main target for doctor Feller's procedure. I just put some before/after pictures together but I'll put up more after we finish today's procedures. If there are any questions I'll be happy to answer them. Have a good day everybody. Tara
  19. I have worked for Dr. Feller for years. In that time he has distinguished between "repair" work and "finishing" work. Lately, though, there have been a higher number of patients coming into the clinic who have had megasessions at other clinics with little to no cosmetic improvement and therefore need "repair" work. This patient is yet another such patient. The concern Dr. Feller always has is WHY did this patients hair not grow well in the hands of another clinic and should he be concerned that his procedure may suffer the same fate. After all, what is the point of doing a procedure on someone on whom it SEEMS an HT will not work? Fortunately, Dr. Feller has determined that most patients with such poor results do not suffer from physiological limitations and therefore such results are likely the result of an inexperienced clinic. Cold truth, but nevertheless a fact. While the doctor may be experienced, the staff most likely are not. In each case we have uploaded to the internet demonstrating "repair" work, the clinics that performed the work used three and sometimes only two technicians to get the job done. For a small procedure of about 600 that may be ok. But these patient were told they received thousands of grafts in one session. The famed "megasession". But how can a clinic perform 2000 grafts and more with only two or three techs? Dr. Feller doesn't believe it's possible on any consistent basis. This is why he always employs no less than six to ten techs for any given procedure in the megasession range. Here is just a typical example of what he has been noticing. This patient had a megasession somewhere else and his results are practically non-existent. Furthermore, the donor area had been significantly disrupted. A factor that had to be dealt with. Dr. Feller was able to extract about 2400 grafts and placed into the exact area of the prior procedure performed elsewhere and look at the difference in growth at just 8 months. This begs the question: why did he not grow nearly as well after his first procedure elsewhere? A question ALL who are thinking about an HT should ask and be aware of. The internet has done a great job filtering out amateur clinics who don't make the grade, but it's up to YOU to do your research to make sure you aren't the one who winds up with no growth that are due to circumstances that could have been controlled. Take your time and scan the forums and READ READ READ about the clinics available to you for an HT. There are PLENTY of great ones out there. Do your homework or you may wind up doing TWO procedures when one would have been sufficient. Feller Medical, PC
  20. All too often clinics are claiming to offer Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) when in reality they are just delivering the old style Micro/Minigraft technique. This is just one of many patients who have visited us for repair/finishing work. Notice the stalky and sparse look in the before pictures. 3,000 TRUE follicular units were placed in between the old minigrafts. Here are his results at just over 8 months. More to come, but more than sufficient time to see the huge difference in the benefits from the two techniques. Feller Medical, PC Great Neck, NY 516-487-3797
  21. British patient 42 years old taking 1mg finasteride wanted to address the front region with a dense pack to match his existing hair. Patient kindly sent us across updated pictures at 11 months post op with his kind comments. Dr Feller, I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year. Well worth it though. Love my hair now. I was happy at the 5 month period. I’m extremely happy with results. So thanks again for your help. My life is totally different now. 22. Hello everyone, Dr. Feller asked me to post this patient of ours who just visited. What makes him special is that he has a very low density donor area and his results to date ( 8 months) has exceeded our expectations. And since he is only 8 months, Dr. Feller believes there is yet even more growth to come. Usually, Dr. Feller will pack such a small number of grafts into a tighter area for "puffiness", but instead he and the patient opted to spread the grafts out to get more coverage. So far the plan seems to be working and he will be coming in for "round 2" in 2014. We'll post him again at that time. Take care everybody. Feller Medical, PC
