  1. so, any final solid reasons why i should not go with this doctor? my last chance to back out i guess before its too late. like any proof that he doesn't know the procedure, etc. anything like this? that he will get drunk, not take the procedure seriously?
  2. why don't you just sue him? or make an accurate website that gives an account of what happened? that can get your story out there
  3. what do you mean no you would not rather do that?
  4. ive researched but ive pretty much decided and i dont think ill find anything that is going to change anything, if people all over the place recommend different doctors thats just more reason for me not to go with them, i prefer an established doctor with 99.9% or even lower satisfied patients than a doctor that isn't as established with even a 100% rate i dont believe that this doctor doesnt know the procedure just as well as any other so why should i not use him?
  5. i'd never go with a doctor who has a crappy website and hasn't had much experience or isn't known i prefer a doctor who is well established and has had thousands of patients right some people have had experiences with just one so just because one person is satisfied doesnt mean anything a doctor with a few patients who are all satisfied isn't better than a well known and established doctor with almost all satisfied patients i have not seen any proof that dr. epstein is incompetent the bad experiences ive read about, there is no proof or evidence that the mistake was due to the doctor's error in the surgery, i dont believe doctors don't know how to place grafts unless they are drunk or something i mean are you saying he will mess up the procedure? id never choose a doctor in a small town with a crappy office and website if they are good then why do they have a bad office and website lol i want someone established to the point where they care enough about their site to fix it up which will only cost a few hundred dollars to a designer which is nothing for them unless youre saying that dr epstein doesnt know how to place hair grafts bc he will get drunk or he doesnt know what hes doing, i cant choose another doctor if i were a male id probably go with dr bernstein b/c he seems to be the best one for males
  6. the thing is that i am actually considering going with dr epstein unless someone has some specific reason why a person should not. i can't use doctors outside the us, and i don't like doctors within the us that are not well known. i have heard about some bad experiences, and with some surgeries going bad, but is that because he didn't perform the surgery right? i mean he is incompetent in the surgery? like grafts were placed in very wrong places something like this?
  7. i dont think it will be a large treatment, im only looking to lower my hairline about 1 cm and with the consultation online i had so far they said probably around 2000 grafts or so, im not sure if thats relatively large or not i dont mind having part of the back of my head shaved though, my hair grows fast and i can just wear my hair down for a while what i dont like about fut is the scar is it bad? im not sure what #3 razor is? how long is the hair? i wont ever shave my head but i wear my hair in different types of styles sometimes braids, will people be able to see it if you put your hair in a lot of braids?
  8. what does the scar look like? how long is it? if it were only 1-2 cm it won't be that bad but i heard it's from ear to ear? so it's like 8 cm in length? and 2mm in width? does anyone have photos of a healed scar showing the full? i haven't been able to find good photos, any photos just show part of the scar like 2 cm and at first i thought taht meant it was only 2m, but it's actually longer? can the scar be seen through braided hair? if you braid your in hair in a lot of braids where you can see the scalp, will you be able see the scar? or is it very invisible? are there any ways to make the scar almost invisible?
  9. Should I go for FUT or FUE for female hairline lowering? I don't like the scar of the FUT but the FUE will still leave small circle scars. The FUE doesn't seem as natural, and the growth is lower. Although not by much, like maybe only 20% so it won't be noticeable since my hair is dense and thick. The cost isn't an issue and I'm aware FUE is more expensive. Almost all females use FUT, is that true?
  10. are there any doctors that a lot of people can recommend? the problem with the recommendations so far is that everyone is recommending something different i prefer a surgeon that is unanimously agreed on is very good
  11. how exactly was the procedure not performed correctly though? did the hair grafts get transplanted into the wrong places? or what was the error exactly?
  12. i dont live in NYC so it doesnt matter that its 90 minutes flight is there a difference though for women, and men? you would recommend different doctors for women than for men? since you said for a woman who wants to lower her hairline.
  13. are there any doctors that a lot of people can recommend? the problem with the recommendations so far is that everyone is recommending something different i prefer a surgeon that is unanimously agreed on is very good
  14. but the FUE procedure does not work well? and the scar is invisible? although its long, that's true i dont like the scar but i dont trust europe when it comes to surgery, if something goes wrong you can't sue them, so it has to be in the states so you are recommending this brussels doctor to everyone, man or woman?
  15. do those doctors have websites? i like doctors that are known and have big businesses, a lot of offices, etc. which usually means they have a good website
  16. i dont care about anyone being local, location has 0 influence on my decision because i can go anywhere, i am travelling now so i'm not even in nyc (don't want to say where i am at the moment). i will check out the doctors that you mentioned, thanks for the suggestions
  17. i prefer a doctor that is very established with a lot of experience and that is known, maybe with many offices in the US or something. i cant find many doctors who even do female transplants
  18. I have checked out dr. bernstein, if i were a male maybe i would go with him since he a pioneer in ht. but it seems he doesn't do as many procedures on female patients, when i try to get a consultation it says the consultation is done by another patient. i've checked out some of the other websites but they are very small clinics and their websites don't seem very good, and no before/after photos or anything, so i'm not sure how reliable they are. even though there are some bad experiences with dr. epstein, most of them are good results right? i cant really find any other doctor who does a lot of female hair translplants.
  19. which procedure did you have, the FUT or the FUE? and why did it turn out bad, do you think it was the mistake of the doctor? that is a bit scary like it wasn't performed right?
  20. is that grafting or lifting the scalp? i'm not looking for the procedure where they lift the scalp, the idea of that scares me so i am looking for a hair transplant, thanks for the link though
  21. you mean that you lost the hair that was transplanted? why was the hair lost, was the procedure not performed correctly? do you have any photos of the results? were you trying to lower your hairline?
