  1. Your right Buzz everybody heals at different speeds, but we all seem to have one thing in common and that is seeing some noticeable changes at the 16 week mark. After then it just gets exciting because you see more growth. Glad it's starting to happen for you mate, up untill now it's been a crap journey for you. We can all look to the future with exicitment, and we can all look forward to a famous ENGLAND WIN TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Goldie depending on what procedure you opt for if you choose fue the Dr will generally shave a large area of your head. If you choose fut (which i did) the Dr will shave a strip around the back from ear to ear possibly 1"/2" in height (depending on how many grafts you go for). If you check out the photo's on my second ht you will see the picture i'm talking about, regards.

  3. Like Yiddo says it looks fine mate,to what degree is your fathers hairl loss at?. Also at what age did he start loosing his hair, my hair loss pattern followed my fathers pretty much. Your way to young to even consider opting for a HT anyway any Dr worth his salt would refuse to perform one on you at 20yrs old. Rogaine wouldn't be of any help as its meant for the crown, and you may be to young for meds at the moment.

  4. All I can say does it really matter what other people think?. There are people out there with permanent physical disablity's which they have to live with forever and face society everyday. Does 8/10 weeks of scabbing and shock loss have a negative effect on a ht patient?. No it doesn't just have your procedure and hold your head up high and if anyone ask's just be up front and honest with them. Good luck with your Ht.

  5. Don't know if any of you guys recentlly saw the Robbie Williams match England v The rest of the world on itvhd. Rooney was in the studio on the couch with the presenter being interviewed, I keep pausing the screen and showing the wife because you could see how thin the mid section actually was.

  6. Sfmg glad to of been some help in you making your decision. I had my hair line done in march 11' it has all but grown out now and is really thick, it's really changed my life for the better. I had my 2nd ht done 11 weeks ago ( the hair line infilled directly behind the hair line through the mid section and th crown.) I have tiny hairs coming through the crown area so looking forward to the upcoming months. What area was your ht? You have a long road ahead of you now mate it will be very boring and worrying at times. But you can only really access your progress at around 4 months, then after that the hair seems to grow quicker and thicker. Are you on Finastride and minoxidil?.

  7. You can rest assured that he is at least going to read the thread, the comment about not reading it is about as believable as his comment about losing money on the OPs deposit.

I think this thread would also be a valid place for me to comment about my recent experience with a consult I had at Feller Medical last month. I had my appointment (which was set up about 2 months in advance) cancelled at the last minute not once, but twice. The 2nd time I got a call literally 24 hours beforehand and was already on the road, I had left work early and was in the process of driving to NYC. When I set up my appointment with the clinic, I made it very clear that I was driving in from out of town and even asked about hotels and such. On the first cancellation phone call I received from their clinic, I had a few days notice so it was pretty easy for me to rearrange my PTO at work and change my hotel dates but I wasn't able to do it the second time around because I was literally due that same day at the hotel and they charged me for that night. I explained the ramifications of the last minute cancellation to his office rep who called me, but her response was essentially "oh well, too bad for you." So, in the end I lost an extra day and a half of PTO which didn't cost me money per se but it's a scarce commodity that's valuable to me and I had to pay for the hotel a 2nd time when I actually ended up going out to NY the following week.

Obviously the fall out for a patient like myself is much less than it would be for a clinic who has to pay staff and pass up the opportunity to do a surgery, but I did lose 100 bucks on the hotel and the PTO is worth about 500 bucks if calculated based on my wages. If something like this is "about principal and not money" as one of the previous posters said in his post then shouldn't things like this work both ways? I chose not to air any of this on the forum last month after my consultation with Feller as he seemed like a nice guy and because I know things happen and I'm sure he had a reason for cancelling my appointment. I am only doing it now because I think it was wrong to talk to the OP in the arrogant, self-aggrandizing manner that he did here when the situation was essentially reversed. I also want to add that none of the cancellation stuff was mentioned in my consult with Dr. Feller so he may or may not know the details of the calls I had with his staff, but I believe it reflects on him and his practice nevertheless.

Gandolf it does work both ways or at least it bloody well should do. My wife had a appointment for lipo back in May last year and the clinic cancelled at one weeks notice. She had already booked seats on the Eurostar for her and a friend and the clinic paid up ?300.00 with out any quibble, that's how it should be. It sounds like Feller medical seriously need to address this issue because, any company CANNOT cancel patients appointments and let them foot the cost of travel arrangements, hotels etc. This is extremely poor customer service and unprofessional if it's happened to you then I'm guessing it's probably happened to other patients as well.

  8. Research,Research, T&C's and COMMUNICATE! That's what this thread is, so its far from being a pointless one. My Dr was crystal clear about a deposit all he required was my flight details!. If this thread teaches us anything it teaches us all to open our big mouth's and talk to each other and get FACTS out in the open before any of us commit to handing any cash over. I hope all clinics review all their t&c's and make it clear as day regarding refundable/non refundable deposits in the future. We as patients have to research research, the least all clinics can do is be up front and clear regarding those very boring but essential t&c's, not just on their website's but face to face as well.

  9. There were a few reasons for me wantIng my hair back, I started loosing mine back in 2002 I first noticed it after the birth of my second daughter. I used to monitor my dads hair loss when I was younger and noticed I seemed to be following in the same mpd at around the same age as he did. By the time he was in his late 40's he was around an nw6, the annoying thing was I could control my body from the neck down(keeping in shape and fitness very well) but I couldn't stop what was happening up top.

I didn't want to be the baldy dad picking his daughter's up from school, I didn't want to be the baldy husband of the the stunning women who works in the hair&beauty industry. I can remember one of my mate's young daughter referring to me as half head/half hair (and she was only 10). Then I read about an Irish actor called James Nesbit who had 2 HT's in Dublin back in 08/09 and was blown away by his results. I then started to research Dr's/clinics etc, and had my first ht in march 2011, I had my second ht 10 weeks ago. The first procedure (hair line)is all but grown now and is thick exactly as I wished for,it is the best thing I have done, only wish I had done it 5 yrs ago.

  10. DON'T!!!!!!!! Listen to limo81 i have had 2 fut ht's with Dr Saifi at am-med wroclaw and i am very happy with the results. Shyshiny msg buzz2 and hairtohelp Dr Saifi carried out corrective surgery on previous failed ht's originally carried out in the uk for these two guys. You can also msg jonnyboy74 , dingdong12, and rlc26 and there are many more happy customers of Dr Saifi on this site. Make sure you do pursue this bad clinic and get your money back don't let them get away with it.

  11. [bloody hell really sorry to hear about your severe lack of care during your HT. I know nothing of this clinic you are the first person to post any experience with them. What made your go for this clinic, did you get in touch with other patients or was it just the cost that made you go with them. It's a shame because for another ?800 you would have got first class care at the Am-med in Wroclaw. I hope after all this you get what you hoped for, 8 months post op how's it coming on?

    Regards Tony

  12. Bonkers! this topic comes on here and there is piece on cloning hair follicles on Discovery. So this company based in the UK has performed a small number of procedure's involving extracting stem cells from hair follicles, cloning the follicles and carrying out some ht procedure's. At the end of the trials they concluded that 40% of the cloned follicles actually went on to produce hair, if they ever do get this cracked! i'm guessing it will be damn expensive.

  13. I am very happy with the first HT the pics speak for them self, probably explains why i am not nervous at all about waiting for the results of the second HT. Dingdong your probably still in the nervous stage at the moment??? i was for around 6 months. After 6 months the hairline started to thicken and i started chilling out its just the tedious waiting game.
