2% rogaine vs 5% rogaine foam - side effect question

I would recommend the same thing. i have noticed lees sides when i swiched from 2-1 time a day application. I also experienced many of the sides op listed. This is from Bernsteinmedical.com : Once a day topical use of Rogaine (topical minoxidil 2% and 5%) seems to be almost as effective as using it twice a day. The reason is, that although minoxidil has a relatively short half-life of several hours when given orally, when topically applied, it has a half-life of 22 hours in the skin. This suggests that once a day dosing is a reasonable option So even though your not a doc your advice seems legit. You have a doc?s word for it -
1.Wash her hands with soap and she should be fine. 2. Its not complety dried in by 2 hours it could take as long as 4 hours. 3. You need to aplly it twice a day. 4. you could shower 2 hours after applying minoxidil but Kirkland advices you to wait for 2-4 hours so its probadly best to wait a little longer. You could think about switching to rogaine foam that dries much quicker.

This was the picture that realized that i was getting very bald and that it was clear to everybody. It came as a shock that it was that bad. i knew i was going bald but hoped that i could strech it a few years.

Everything is now booked and payed for. the 1 of august i will leave Denmark together with my girlfrien for 18 days travelling to India. We have decided to make a tour out of it. This means that we have arranged a lot of activities except for 5 days thats my recovery period. We willl travel from copenhagen to delhi from delhi to hyderabad and from hyderabad to vizag. In each city we will stay for a few days. We have arranged a luxury tour to Taj Mahal that im lookoing very much forward to. Most of all im trilled that my girlfriend decided to travel with me that will definately help reduce anxiety before surgery.

Hi guys. I can recommend using cleartrip.com for hotels bookings. Also if you have to fly within India f.x delhi-hyderabad. I have planned my tour to India to get a procedure done by Radha Rani from Vizag in start of august. I will be travelling from Copenhagen-Delhi Delhi-Hyderabad and i will be atying there for the first week of august. Hopefully the weather will be nice. there are quite a few places to visit in Hyderabad i advise you to use tripadvisor or wiki.

The header almost says it all. I want to switch to only applying minoxidil once a day. Im not getting lots of sides nor is it a big pauin for me to apply twice a day but i just dont want to use more than nessesary. I know that it comes with a advise to apply it twice a day but if the effect of doing so is minimal i just dont see any point in applying it twice a day. Also its cheaper and it could help me remember taking finasterid at night. Im having some sides from finasterid so its best for me to take them at night where my brain doenst need to function that well. Any thoughts ?

I have talked with my sister who is currently taking a Phd in pharmacology. I would like to point out that she doenst know much about MPB and medical produts that relate to that. So her conclusions are drawn on general assumptions. She said that that there is an if to this conclusion that you can take finasterid eod with similar succes as every day. It depends on how long time it takes the body to produce fully functional receptors that produces DHT. The same receptors that the drug is binding to. If it takes a week aswell then taking finasterid more than twice a week will not do you any better. But if it only takes the body a day to produce these cells then taking it eod is not as effective as taking it daily. Take f.eks Antabuse it does "work" for several days but because the body produces new cells that have fully functioning receptors on daily basis you have to take it once a day.

If you want to cot down then take 0.25-0.5 M-W-F. Theres only 8 % difference in dht level inhibiting from 0.5 - 1 mg. Ive seen good results from others on small dosages aswell. But you could also do 1 mg once a week. From what ive read finasterid is cummulative so it doenst matter if the dosage the same. The post drom dr Cooley states as you say that it inhibit dht levels for a week. It leaves the blood quick but stays in scalp for a much longer period. Some of his patients is on once a week medication. Perhaps you can ask him about the results he have experienced from this ? Im on a 1.25 mg M-W-F schedule but looking to reduce it in 2012 to 0.5 mg eod when generic propecia is on the market.

Ive seen plenty of examples lately of people with a MPB like you posting pictures after haven received a HT. Im not saying that this is the right thing to do your the expert on your own life. I would love to have the hair you have but im not you. If you have legit proof pictures etc. That meds have stabilized and prevented your hair loss then why not go for a HT if you feel so strongly about it ? Yeah the donor supply is finit. But you have described family hair pattern that dont indicate that you will become a NW6 or NW7 plus you take meds. I am certain that many doctors will offer you a HT aswell as many wont. I have seen Rahal HT lately thats perfomed on people with low NW in their 20?s.

Thx Spex. It surpriced me to see that dutasterid inhibits more DHT than finasterid. Why is it then that people rate finasterid>dutasterid ? Doenst dutasterid regrew hair ? From what i read dudasterid has about the same sidde effects.
