  1. Can it take longer than 12 months for hair to grow if I had multiple procedures or is 12 months usually it
  2. Yeah my doctor says to wait another 6 months which would be 18 months. It's just that after 12 months I expected a lot more growth especially in the hair line area. But I dont see any growth and this doctor has all of the certifications and a great staff. So I am just soo frustrated that they keep telling me to wait. Is it possible for hair to only begin to start growing after 12 months? I've read that some people dont experience any growth until 14-18 months with full maturity at 24 months. If that's the case I dont mind waiting, but if it's not going to grow I'd rather start planning for another procedure already. PLEASE ADVISE
  3. Thanks TAO, but do you think having multiple procedures both hair transplants and scar revisions would cause delayed growth
  4. I did FUT- i had 3 surgeries and 2 scar revisions. Since I respect my doctor I prefer to keep his info confidential- but he is recommended by this site. I hope that's ok
  5. What is the longest it could take for a hair transplant to grow in? I had 3000 grafts about 12 months ago and have had little to no growth. I think since I have had multiple procedures and scar revisions my growth may be delayed to scar tissue. plus my doctor said I was a "Slow Grower" But I am starting to wonder if this hair is going to grow in or was there a systematic failure. PLEASE HELP!
  6. If I went tanning in a high powered tanning bed without covering my head a few days after a hair transplant would that delay or restrict growth of the newly transplanted hair?

  10. Well I really like him but did not think he really did 3000 grafts. The number of grafts is difficult to predict exactly. So when you pay for 3000 and they tell you that they got exactly 3000 its a bit suspicious. My first I paid for 3000 and got 3724, my second 3000/3000 (i dont think that's possible unless it was 3000 hairs) and the third one paid for 3000 and got 2864. it was dr. meshkin in newport beach
  11. I have had 3 hair restoration surgery's and two scar revisions. 1. 3700 grafts- hair club- Dr. Jon Gaffney did a terrible job 2. Found a new hair loss Dr. in Newport Beach.. Paid for 3000 grafts but I am sure they did only 3000 hairs and pretended they did 3000 grafts. Then did a free scar revision for me and supposedly 500 grafts for free. 3. Found what I thought was one of the best doctors in California. Went down to La Jolla. Did 2800 grafts, then 6 months later a scar revision surgery with 250 free grafts. So no I am on 11 months after my last hair surgery of 2700 grafts and honestly dont think any hair has grown. It was mostly in the front and the front looks exactly the same despite taking propecia and rogaine. So I am wondering if this is normal. I have heard that after each surgery and scar revision it takes longer for the hair to grow due to scar tissue and other factors. Do you think it will start growing this late in the game. It will be 12 months in 4 weeks. I thought I was supposed to be fully grown by then, not just starting to grow. But since I have had several procedures I am wondering if I should be concerned. My last doc obviously told me to wait a few more months. Please advise
