  1. In my opinion, the success rate of Propecia and Rogain are just not high enough. Plus, they really don't give back all the hair you already lost. I also don't like the idea of having to take medication everyday for the rest of my life.

On the other hand, not to oversimplify, but a hair transplant is a one shot deal that basically "replaces" everything you lost. If you continue to lose more, then you might have to go back a second or third time, but to me it's worth it. I mean, I've seen just too many amazing results from HT.

As far are miniaturization as a predictor of future loss goes, I cannot say. I've heard credible arguments for and against it from the top names in the business. In m opinion, I don't think there is conclusive evidence on the matter as of yet.

In the absence of such a consensus, I just have to look after myself. My twenties and thirties are the best years of my life. I don't want to waste time being indecisive. To tell you the truth, I'm kind of kicking myself for waiting this long already. I should have got the HT when I was 26, not 29! Now I have to wait a full year to see the results.

So if I continue to lose hair, then I'll just go back for another HT. It's worth it to me. Until I started loosing my hair, I never realized exactly how important it was to me. It's central to my identity, as well as keeps me looking and feeling young, healthy and attractive. The confidence boost is real too.
