Looks to me as though the thought process behind this procedure was to carpet bomb the frontal 3rd in one hit to alleviate the need for future procedures as loss of native hair in this area progresses over the years. The prospect of loss in the back is an eventual risk but I believe a calculated one especially if the patient is on meds

wow - 10 yrs? That makes meds a great option if you could achieve that length of time. I personally had put the option of minoxidil on the back burner as I had the impression that its a pain in the ass to apply & that the results were only short term. I have also read that it creates minoxidil dependency in the hairs so could precipitate hairloss if you had a reason to stop taking it. I would be more confident to try Propecia on its own, because of these impressions.

Looking good. I would be tempted to try propecia even at a v low dose every other day. Surely the best time to take it is before its needed , as by the time it's needed it normally too late ! Lets be honest there's a good chance of progression with hairloss , not many people recede to a nw 3 in there twenties and stay there..

Honestly I think my answer to the question of having surgery in your postion is a definite NO ! Your hair is fine! maybe slightly thinning but really ,just do some research for future reference, maybe start meds if your sure your thinning ( as early prevention is the best action to take - not surgery ) then just get on with your life because if you do end up losing hair in the furure youll look back on your current situation and wish it was possible to even vaguely recover it. Surgery is the last resort. Early prevention is your best bet. If the meds affect you negatively then Id still say wait until you are much further advanced with your loss than now before having surgery. You could schedule an appointment with a good ht doc & get the lowdown from a real expert , & devise a course of action with their guidance. J

Ive looked into this myself corv, there are some studies online, you just have to find em! I decided to try it , and after further investigation I also started supplementing it with beta sitosterol. Beta sitosterol contains a much higher ammount of the compound related to dht blocking than you'll find in saw palmetto, although there are a few other compounds in saw palmetto too. I take both and my hair has been pretty good with hardly any shedding over the 3 months ive been taking them. My old chap seems fine, maybe im not as horny all the time as normal ( which I dont mind tbh, sometimes that can be a problem on its own!) but im definitely not suffering ed. I stopped taking the supplements last week as im on some prescription meds atm, and wasn't sure if they would interfere so thought best to be safe. I definitely have been shedding a lot more since,especially the first couple of days after stopping. I will be back on this stuff soon as I can, only time will tell but I feel confident that its been doing something over these first few months. Im also trying the famous scalp exercises , have you looked into that?? supposed to improve blood flow which improves hair. The way I see it, being a nw2 -3 I will try all i can to retain what I have without going on propecia or rogaine.

Surely it would be best for prospective patients to see the evidence for themselves , including the unsafe extractions which would be visible in the photo results , which are now blocked?? If Dr keser is not recommended by the site for these reasons then best to leave the evidence there for all to see. The docs That are recommended are not losing out, as they hold the recommendation that he doesn't! Otherwise it leaves a feeling that doesn't shed a good light on the ethics of this site , and that basically the docs who pay are controlling the media available to view here. For the benefit of the integrity of that recommendation I believe that openess of all results posted here is necesarry

I don't understand and find it a bit aggravating that you take the time you argue so vehemently, but dont post any pics of your experience. This would be the best way of helping others who have the same situation or hair characteristics as your self and maybe helping others might slightly improve the bad feelings you have experienced. Its obviously a valid point you have and worthy evidence for people to examine.

Something I often wonder/worry about with a potential procedure would be ending up damaging the existing hair through shockloss...

Good point too. I suppose it could also depend on how much is involved in a thorough consultation, and how long it takes. In relation to the cost of the surgery its probably worth giving free consultations if it attracts more customers. Then again it depends how busy the surgeon is, time is money blah blah. In my business it depends how busy I am and the nature of the job as to whether I give free estimates/consultations to prospective customers. So Im probably a little biased... For example when I'm v busy, the last thing I want to be doing is giving free consultations in my spare time. market forces i guess If I go to T&D I will be looking for a free consul without doubt! Its a long way for me!

I actually would be happy to pay somebody with a respected professional reputation for a thorough consultation inc mapping/miniaturisation, as long as it was not extortionate. I personally think professional advice is worth paying for. The doctors are obviously well paid but in great demand so well worth there time in my opinion. But obviously would prefer to save my cash of course!
