  1. Im sure this must be an old question, But Im new here and based of the information that I found on internet, Im start getting confused. What do you guys think of them? which one is better?

Based on what I understood the main difference is that

    1) FUT is more predictable and more graft can be saved but it will leave a huge SCAR in the back of your head meaning you can never shave or have your hair to short (if for any rason you would want to have that)

    2) FUE does not leave any scar but more graft are destroyed in the process of harvesting, but it will not leave any scar and it will heal faster

SO PLEASE what is your guys opinion? which one is better?

Arr doctors usually do either FUT or FUE or is it more exclusive, I mean if a doctor is a known HT surgeon, how do know if he is good at both tecniques?

  2. I have few questions that Im jus going to throw them out, would really appreciate it if I would get some response....

1)Through life I've learned if something is expensive, it doesnt neccesarily mean its good, but if something is cheaper than usuall then there most be definitly something wrong.... So my first question on Average what is reasonable to pay per graft? I heard around 4-6 dollars, now Ive heard that there is this Dr that charges 2.50-3 dollars, does that sound reasonable or to good to be true???

2)What is pinpoint hair restoration? Is it better worst or the same thing as mini and micro grafting?

  3. Below are a series of photos: 1) one of my hair at 1/2" length at the 8 month mark 2) one of my pre surgery condition 3) one of 3 months post-HT showing native hair growing back normally 4) two of my scar area at 8 months post-op after a #3 clip haircut, in very bright daylight 5) one of my scar at 8 months post op (#3 clip) with a little Toppik sprinkled around it, under harsh indoor flourescent light

If what you were saying was true about all HTs no matter who the doctor/clinic then a patient like myself could simply not exist. For the record I had a 4496 graft megasession strip surgery on May 20, 2010. The strip was 30 cm long and 2.5 cm wide in some places!

Name your doctor and upload CLEAR before and after photos if you expect your post to have any real significance. Naming your doctor and showing photos is 10X more important than anything you can write, and the truly educated posters here are aware of this.

When I was researching I was constantly looking for failed HT patients like yourself; it was practically an obsession of mine since being a hardened sceptic by nature inclined me to doubt all the positive stuff I was seeing online about modern HTs. Ironically, the one common theme among the majority of these unhappy patients was that they wanted to blame HTs in general and not the doctor or clinic they went to for the failure of their procedure. They found it very emotionally difficult to consider that they just did not do enough research and chose a sub par doc/clinic, or that their particular physiology was just not conducive to a successful outcome. Instead, they were adamant in the belief that the only fault was that HTs in general will inevitably result in failure because the procedure itself is flawed.

Had I believed them then I would still be half bald today, which would be a travesty due to intentional misinformation.

    Hey

Can I ask you who your doctor is, and where is he located?

    thnx

Thanks for the link, but I had seen that before, and you see I don't know how reliable those names are, I don't know if they paid to get on that page, and also their resume, to be honest with you, none of them have got their specialty from a MAJOR medical school.

Now Im not saying that someone that graduates form a major school is necessary a better doctor, or that they know things that no other doctor knows, but it does show me that they must have been way above an average medical student when they got into specialty program... and again Im looking for a doctor that is way above other doctors....

  5. If you want the "best of the best" why limit yourself to looking only in California?

I guess you are right, but California is the biggest state in US (population wise), I asseumed there should be atleast a couple of well known names out here.

Also many celebreties live out here and they live on their looks so I thought if there is a good enough Doctor for them here there should be one for me;)

But if you know someone that has such an incredible reputation that it would be worth travelling to another state/country for please let me know.

  6. Hello everyone

This is my first thread in this foroum. I live in Califonia as goes by the title. I want to go for consultation, but I do not know any good surgeons. I dont care how far up or down I have to travell within California as long as I find a good reliable and known surgeon here for consultation. Any recomendation. I just want the BEST of the bests. The one with best reputation and most number of happy and sattisfied patients. I don't care about the wait time or the price I just want the best surgeon I could find in california...

I have alot of questions in my head. As goes by my username the pattern of my baldness is pretty much the same as Al bundy. I have heavy hair loss in the front of my forehead and thining in the vertex. Im 31 years old by the way....

I really appreciate all advice and suggestions
