  1. Yeah some of the grafts on my left side of hairline did not grow. There were obvious empty patches. Even the Doctor admitted the results on the left were not good. The right side however turned out good. So i got half good results and half bad. I wonder if this had anything to do with the different technicians working on my head? I went back again because they did throw in a few hundred grafts for free to make up for the poor results from the first surgery. I requested different technicians work on me this time. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that in a few months I will see how successful this surgery was. This is just my experience so far. I am just one person, so I dont think this site has enough information to say whether Doc Ross is a "good" HT surgeon relative to others. Goodluck if you decide to go through with your procedure and give us feedback. I didnt keep a good photo journal of my transplants. but if i find anything i'll post them.
  2. Hah! too late, I already did. I wasnt too happy with the first procedure yet I went back for a second one a month ago because of a discount when I told them I wasnt happy with the prior results. Sheesh I really wish I would of done more research on this site before i made my decision. Well, whats done is done, now I'll have to wait 1 year to see if the second time results will be good. I will say the office staff and the doctor are very friendly though. It was a nice atmosphere. But like I said I was not very satisfied with my first procedure and that is most important. I think if i ever do this again, I will probably consider Bernstein in NYC. But he seems a little pricey. Can you negotiate on pricing with this guy?
  3. Sorry everyone. I re-read my posting and it was not worded carefully and may have been confusing. I had strip surgery performed to improve my frontal hairline area which left a scar in the back that is visible if i clip my hair too short. I am considering using FUE to fill in the scar. But since the scar wraps all the way around the back of my head, and the implanted hairs are going in the scar, it would seem almost impossible to sleep and not apply pressure/contact on the newly implanted hairs. I'm surprised no one here who had FUE surgery to correct a strip surgery could comment on his/her experience. Thanks a bunch guys. Sorry for the confusion. This is an awesome site by the way! I really wish I knew about it prior to my transplants.
  4. Down the road I may consider FUE to correct strip scar. Overall my scar is good other than a few spots that have either stretched or was just poorly trich stitched up. I'm curious though, if the scar is all around back of the head, (left/right/back) then how do people generally sleep? I mean, youre not suppose to lay on new implanted graphs. Do docs expect you to sleep with you face down on the pillow?
  5. I've been reading many post and I'm starting to pick up on recurring suggestions for who the good doctors are. I wish I would of done this research prior to my own surgery. But anyway, I was curious if anyone had experiences with Nuhart in New York City with Dr. Glen Ross?
  6. Hi I'm new on this forum. Just finished my second procedure of 1000 crafts almost 1 month ago. My first procedure was 700 grafts done a couple of years ago. I wasnt happy with my first surgery and even the doctor himself agreed the results on the left side of my receding hairline was not good. So he gave me a price break on the second surgery which was the only reason why i went back to him. I think i may be the oddball patient since the majority of the transplanted hair stubs did not shed after both surgery. In fact, it was the hairs that never shedded and just kept growing that yielded the best results. In fact the hairs that did shed that left little blank spots on my head barely ever grew back. Has anyone else experienced this? I read that grafts are suppose to be secure after 10 days, so against my own personal experience and judgement, i proceded to really work out the crust after 13 days, and even picked at some. Many hairs came out (no blood or anything). I know in theory this probably didnt dislodge anything since it was day 13, but based on my personal experience I feel terribly guilty and dumb for doing it.
