  1. lady: actually i don't use it, because my procedure was to lower my original hairline and create a new one. last year i used tricomn spray, when i spray on a certain part of the scalp, i massage it and the area around it. try to massage after each press, it may help. my surgery was on 13 of july, i didn't count the two weeks post op, because it was for grafts to take their place in the scalp. i started counting from the first of augest, and noticed new hairs growing in the beginning of november. i think you need more time. waiting for the results is very boring. sometimes i feel disappointed and upset, but when i compare my pictures, i see the difference that cheers me up.
  2. hi again, when the hair shed , it means the grafts are well placed. the hair follicles should pass the three phases to produce new hair. the sole problem with hair transplant surgery is: it needs a long time to see the results. i remember that about 20% of my transplanted hair didn't shed, they continued growing. i don't know why, but i think it was because of my healthy diet, just an assumption . the worst part i ever experienced was the shockloss, i had it for 1 month and a half then it stopped, i didn't panic seeing my hair in the donor area falling in a horrible way. i had to control my nerves and cheer myself. i took some pictures every two weeks, noticed a an improvement between 2.5 months and 3.5 months post op in hair coverage. it has really cheered me up seeing the progress. i advise you to write your questions in a paper so you won't forget what you'd like to ask. it happened for me when i was in bangkok for my repair surgery, i forgot most of my questions but thanks to dr. oravan, she explained everything to me. i was fully aware of the procedure and its post results or complications. i'm waiting for more coverage before creating my album. i'd like to share my experience with every woman surfing this site, especially the ones who suffer from the same problem i had. mari , i wish you a successful surgery with great results. ladyneedshair, when i was 3 weeks post op, my recipient area was itching terribly, i had few pimples. i contacted the clinic and they adviced me to press it with warm gauze, also prescribed some medicines. few weeks ago, i had the same problem again.. i looked at the mirror, i noticed small hairs coming out.. i think they were the reason of itchiness. how you doing these days?
  3. hi lady how are you, mind me i don't check this site regularily, i'm happy to hear that you had your ht at last. i wish you will have great results and natural coverage. mari, one more thing, relax before the surgery and don't get stressed. have a light breakfast in the morning. the surgery will not be complicated as long it will be done by a qualified doctor, it just needs patience. again, best luck
  4. hi mari, i will answer your questions according to my experience : 1. i have post op tips paper, it says it is ok to colour your hair after at least one month post op. however i don't colour my hair at all recently. 2.it is not painful, you will be given some shots on the donor area, you may feel little pain after the surgery, take some pain killer tablets. 3. you will have a shedding phase that may make your hair look sparse for few months, then it will regrow and get thickened by time. i'm almost 4 months post op, i've started to see some new hair coming out. 4. you can wear a loose hat. you've got to be very gentle when you put on your hat or clean the recipient area. i think the grafts need two weeks to be secured in the scalp. therefore, try to be very careful when you touch them because they can be dislodged easily. best luck with your surgery
  5. hi lady I'm a woman too, I'm 2 months post op. I had mine done by doctor Path in Bangkok My purpose was to lower my hairline because my forehead was wide. I saw some dr Cooley's patients' pictures, the results look beautiful and natural. I believe that you've chosen one of the best surgeons Good Luck!
  6. then sorry for misunderstanding you, now it's clear that your post is related to certain discussions or topics that i don't know about. i wrote my post to ensure you that your condition will be evaluated by dr path himself. well every clinic has its own policy in dealing the patients, however the most important thing is to have a successful ht in an excellent clinic regardless of whom you may consult. this is my opinion based on my experience in 2 hts. choosing the right clinic is your own decisiont, and i wish you 'll have best ht. again, good luck and sorry for digressing.
  7. hi garet, i checked your profile, it looks you will have your ht in dht clinic. i had my repair surgery there too on 13 of july. in my consultaion appointment, i met dr.path, dr oravan and another assistant (sorry i don't know his name ). dr path checked my condition and didn't leave untill he made sure that i don't have any further questions. i'm pretty sure that i didn't meet any salespeople in dht clinic. and i believe that the recommended doctors in this site don't follow the policy of employing salespeople in their clinics nor performing the surgeries based on the assistants' evaluations. good luck!
  8. Hi NUA, you're most welcome, yes this is the full name and it's by exotic allure company. there are many fast grow brands but we think this is the best one. its effect is still minimal but better than nothing. my pharmacist friend bought me these capsules from the internet. i tried some french pills called inversion femme for 4 months and they helped in reducing the effect of shock loss on my hair. this is from my own experience. i think the company produced ones for men too. i will write about my hts and and how i partially managed to control my shock loss. wish you a safe trip to your home and great result with your ht.
  9. try to do some blood analysis tests like cbc and s.ferritin, you may have a kind of iron deficiency that makes your hair thin and easy to fall. just a suggestion!
  10. never ever put ur head in hands of unqualified and unexperienced doctor. my first ht was highly costy and the result was zero + horrible scar + severe shock loss because i was totally devastated. it was done by unqualified surgeon in my country. i waited 6 months only and did my repair surgery in dr.path clinic last 13 jul. you could seek some one cheaper little than the recommended surgeons here but the result could be nothing. coalition doctors have amazing results also they are trustworthy.
  11. well, i don't know what the side effects of the medical marijuana on blood are, but if i were in your place i would stop taking anything medical - unless it is very necessary- for a month before the procedure. I stopped taking the multi-vitamins supplements one month prior my first ht and second ht then resumed everything after one week post op, just avoid anything unexpected could happen during the surgery. sorry, i don't understand how smoking before the surgery will be helpful in dealing with ht pain, but don't worry, the injections are not painful, they are bearable and they are given in the first hour or 2. you will have some sleeping pills that will make you asleep for 5 hours or more. you should quit smoking and drinking coffee or tea before the surgery, because smoking is not good to ur health and coffee may not let you sleep during the surgery. best luck!
  12. Hi NUA, It seems that ur surgery was on 5 of Jul. I was there too for consultaion and had my repair surgery on 13 of Jul. Dr. Path and his staff did a great job in repairing my 1st ht. Try Fast Grow ethnic hair growth enhancer capsules to lessen the effect of shock loss. I have taken them for 4 days, and I feel that my hair today is better slightly than the previous days.
