  1. One thing to try might be to start exercising at least until you can get back in the swing of things. This can work on a number of levels. Studies have shown that men who jog or get aerobic workouts have less incidents of ED, for whatever reason, increased blood flow, more energy, more confidence, whatever. Might be worth a try. I had some sides early on, but they did pass.
  2. Hi - I had pretty good results with propecia and minox, especially in the crown over the first 9 months. At about 9 months I moved from using T-Gel to Nizoral and I believe this was when I started to shed up front like crazy. Not sure if this is normal, but am of course freaking a bit and disappointed. I have gone back to T-Gel and I think the shedding has slowed. They do seem to be largely the thinner hairs, but as a result I am noticably thinner up front now. Has anyone gone through anything like this outside of the normal propecia shedding phase early on? I didn't have too much of a shed then. Am I just a late shedder? Any experience with a Nizoral shed? I've read that it can happen? How long until I potentially get some hair back in that case? A little freaked, Jay
  3. I get generic finasteride (1mg) from canadadrugpharmacy and have had good results. The "Canadian" finasteride is manufactured in and ships from India. (promotional links removed by administrator) I'd probably be wary too if I were you, but I can vouch for my own results after having tried it, plus minoxidil for 9 months.
  4. Well, she finally arrived. Unfortunately, she looked nothing like the pictures she sent. I bought her another ticket and sent her back to Senegal.
  5. Have you considered lowering the dose of propecia? Talk to your doctor (not my word) first, but that's what I do.
  6. A nice, beautiful girl stranded in Senegal sent me a message on the forum here. She wants to date me, so I sent her $10,000 for air fare. I CAN'T WAIT! She's coming next week!
  7. I'm pretty happy with the results and if I only just maintained this level for the rest of my life I would be perfectly happy I think. Does this treatment typically continue improvement past 9 months? I'm kind of doing this on my own, but of course have a Propecia prescription from a derm, however without much info or monitoring from him.
  8. Norwood 3 vertex here. Course of treatment was 1/2 (0.5mg) finasteride (Propecia) tablet per day, which was half of the prescribed dose. Also, topical minoxydil 5% (Rogaine) twice daily, though I have gone down to once daily on some days now. Also, my early widow’s peak is slightly less pronounced now, though I don’t have any shots of that. I showed very early stages of developing “the island” up front, but that is no longer as discernable. That would have to be due to the Propecia, since minoxydil is supposed to be effective only for the crown, though I did apply minoxydil up front for awhile. I guess I'm not really a good scientific "control" experiment-wise. I also started off taking 1/4 finasteride a month after I started minoxydil, then bumped up to 1/2 at some later point. I may go back to 1/4 if I experience what I perceive to be any side effects. I get generic finasteride online from Canada and generic minoxydil from Costco. Color differences are because I dye my graying hairs and possibly because of different lighting/cameras :-) I'm surprised this has worked at all since this has been slowly developing over about 10 years...kind of past the point where you're supposed to get regrowth.
