  1. There were some good reviews of his work on here. It seems very subjective to know what makes a good surgeon vs less than.
  2. He has been mentioned in other posts on here so don’t want to say - I think that the conversation was not very comprehensive since right off the bat, the fit wasn’t there
  3. They took a look at my scalp, drew a 1/2 inch lower hairline and said that he could do 2.5-3k grafts. He is one of the few surgeons in my city with extensive surgery experience
  4. I was hoping for 5000 or maybe 6000 grafts but he said no and I walked
  5. I estimate that 8000 will do the trick. I have no idea how many grafts that I can offer from my scalp. Maybe 5-6k?
  6. He said that the donor hair was usable, but most of his procedures are under 3000 grafts
  7. It seems like 2500/3000 is a common top end of grafts for a lot of FUE procedures.
  8. He advised against larger graft sessions. No. He doesn’t use beard/neck or body hair. He said I would need a second procedure- I presume for another 2500jsh grafts
  9. Hi gang. I don't post that often on here. However, I have been a frequent visitor on here. Today I saw a surgeon in my City who does FUE work. He had a look at my scalp and donor(Norwood 6) but they only offered 2500-3000 grafts in total (doesn't use beards/neck/body hair). I like his work generally but was hoping for at least 5000 grafts (will probably need about 8000 grafts in total). He did suggest coming back after 9 months for a second transplant. Most of his work is lower numbers. Wonder if it is worth signing up or look for larger FUE sessions (but will have to wait). The surgeon warned about higher graft surgeries because I am older (past 50). Look forward to feedback from everyone. Thanks. G
  10. Hi everyone. Saw this advertised online and thought I might try it, so thought I’d ask the group to get opinions: Removed link Thanks. G
  11. Would love to see demonstrated proof it works - ie someone who has used it extensively over a few months with results (in photos).
  12. I have used it in the past. It is pretty strong and should be kept on scalp for 10 mins.. in terms of efficacy, I didn’t find much benefit to be honest.
  13. @Kdegenmay I ask what dose you are taking? Did you start low and move up? thanks.
  14. Hi gang. Hope that everyone is good. I have been following for some time now this doctor who educates other doctors and people who are Inter in hair loss. Feel free to follow him on Twitter and one of his segments is on YouTube link below. @DonovanMedical is his Twitter handle. thanks, Grant PS He is a bit conservative in my opinion (ie doesn’t mention experimental stuff) although he does discuss Oral Minoxidil
  15. how can a drug be showing promise and be underwhelming at the same time?
  16. Why are they prescribing prostate drugs for a different condition?
  17. I don't find any existing medical topicals help much
  18. A compound pharmacy in my City. Try calling one in nearby big city.
  19. I am using Lipogaine now which doesn’t have PG (still getting side effects). i am trying topical Dutasteride as well without much benefit.
  20. Hi gang. Hope that everyone is good. I am 50 year old, chasing Norwood V. I am taking Rogaine, but am unfortunately having side effects (scalp inflammation, itchiness). I was wondering if anyone has found anything else that works? For example, the product Biogaine from Hairguard is being touted as effective but there is not any reliable reviews/ feedback online (that I can find). The Company seems credible - they have a lot of solutions and don’t seem to be a scam. Look forward to hearing responses from the community here. Much thanks ! Grant
