My history of hairloss

Born bald

Age0-2 ---->Bald

Age 12------>Started loosing hair in the temples.Honestly speaking i dont even remember having hair in the temples.

Age 15------->GRADE 2..receding hairline

Age 15-20---->Grade 2..hardly had any good hair days.hair is thin.not miniaturised hair.dry frizzy hair

Age 21------->Started thinning in the crown.Hairline receded further

Never really experienced any significant shedding.I just felt that the hair i lost didnt get replaced by new hairs

Been on finastride and minoxidil 5% for the past 2months.Didnt experience any sort of shedding with its usage as every1 usually does which lasts for a couple of weeks as reported.

No history of hairloss in my family.My dad,bro,all my cousins,uncles,both my grandfathers have a head full of hair.As from the photos i can see that my great grand father died being a Grade 3V i guess.PHew!!.And a generation above that i really dont have the records.

Am i suffering from male pattern baldness or am i just born with weak hair as i was bald for almost 2 yrs when i was born.A local dermatologist whom i visited told me that it was due to delayed reptilia.He himself was confused

and couldnt provide me a proper explaination.

What you are saying is all bull!!.You are entitled to the way you think but i dont want anybody from india to get influenced by your talks.No doctor in india except for Dr MAdhu who has been recently recommended on this site is capable enough to carry off a good HT.Dr manoj is a breast implant specialist who does part time hair restoration surgeries.

interesting thread..how did i miss this 1..any latest updates about the effective use of laser combs.Dr humayaun..do you still support it?.How are your patients responding with the use of laser combs

well..i dont know de answer of de above query.I read in 1 of the threads where u mentioned that Dr.madhu charges less at the rajahmundry clinic.does he perform surgeries at 2 places?.why is he charging less at rajahmundry.

i visited a dermatologist.he had no idea.the reason y i felt there cud b some deficiency or something else amiss because wen i was born i didnt have hair for almost 2 yrs!!!!..is it normal to be bald for almost 2 yrs??..does this happen to many? and in my family everybody has a head full of hair,my dad,bro,all my uncles including both my grandfathers.if i have to undergo some blood test to c if there is something else amiss what should it b?

so confusing!!..all are coming up with different answers..the doctors recommended in this forum need to chip in and give some input in this very important matter

Is minoxidal 10% more effective den 5%??iam on minoxidal 5% for a while n havent noticed any side effects..shud i give 10% a try..any suggestions??

I had been to a HT surgeon.He has put me on finastride and monoxidal.Its been a month.About my concerns i dont think he was knowledgeable about all that..can it be due to some deficiency??

is it due to some vitamin or iron deficiency??

Iam 21 years old.I was born bald & i didnt have hair for almost 2 yrs.I started losing hair from the temples when i was 12 yrs old.Many used to say that i will go bald 1 day.I am losing hair since then but its been very slow,only accelerated a bit from the past 1 yr.As per norward i am on grade 3v.But the condition is still not that ugly as i still have some hair on my crown which i can manage to cover it n have a broad forehead which is looking ok as of now.My hair texture has changed a lot.When small its alright but when it grows more than 3 inches it looks very unhealthy.It is neither straight nor curly,its asthough the hair follicle has damaged.I rarely have any good hair days.I feel it is due to most of my hair being in the resting phase when long.Nobody on my parents side are bald.My dad and bro have a head full of hair.What i want to know is whether i am suffering from male pattern baldness or is it some other folliculer disease.Plz reply!!

From the results that i have seen from Dr.madhu so far i always felt that a large area of the scalp were covered with less number of grafts,keeping in mind that indians comparatively have a small head n the hair texture is relatively curly n have thick hair.But u seem to have felt otherwise.

Good to finally c a doctor from india being considered for a recommendation on this site.its been a really long time.his results seem to b really good..but!!! its just too good to be true..i wud like to c a lot more of immediate post-op pictures from him
