  1. If it's working for you and you are not experiencing any major sides other than sleep, don't forget to try melatonin and ear plugs also help to get a restful night sleep too. 3M yellow earplugs are my favorite lol.

    Thank you!

Unfortunately i started experienced ED and low libido.

I got my morning wood back now but dont know if my Libido is 100% . Still feel that im having a harder time getting it up and sometimes its not as hard as it suppose to be. But all that can be mentally aswell. i will give it some time and probably lower more if i need to.

  2. That's good, glad you've found a solution. I was hoping to achieve the same on 0.2mg, which as you know is an extremely low dose.

Looking at the range of side effects on this drug; doesn't surprise me at all that insomnia happens. If it can cause anxiety, then it can definitely affect sleep. All related.

Can I ask what brand of fin you're using? I'm using Fincar on this occasion.

yea, im hoping i will be able to replace it with something less harmful in the near future (as does everybody else) .

    Sure., im using Accord .

  3. I just started fin on a 0.2mg dosage and was unable to sleep again. Happened to me a few months ago but wanted to give another try.

Really strange as I was taking fin for about 3 months a few years ago but stopped then due to libido issues. I guess I am one of the ones that fin doesn't agree with.

    Hey Bro.

I actually lowered the does from 1mg ED to 0.5mg monday-friday , weekends off. I noticed that my sides has retracted. Morning wood is back, Libido is up and im sleeping better.

Hope it's a dose that works in the long run..

  4. So im managing to fall asleep after a while but the hard part is that i wake up a lot during the nigh, im dreaming a lot and feeling that im not entering REM-sleep at all, Its ruff because im so tired in the morning and during the day.

further to my case is that i I have sleep apnea and have been using a CPAP (sleeping machine) the last couple of years witch have improve my sleep immensely, for the first time in my life i felt really rested when i woke up and had no problems getting up in the morning, it made my life so much easier.

Now i actually feel like the days i had sleep apnea without the CPAP, waking up during the night, sleeping 8-10 hours but never feel rested, almost sleeping siting down during work because of lack of REM-sleep and constantly tired.

Im lucky that im not suffering any other side effect but this is a tuff one.....

  5. Yeah I had trouble sleeping while I was on fin too... I was also sleeping on a bed of nails at the time so I switched to a normal mattress and the problem resolved :)

Take away here. I enjoy sarcasm and I doubt that finasteride interfered with your ability to sleep.

As i said before im not jumping to conclusions but i know my body very well sense I've been an athlete a bigger part of my life. I have also read about this side effect .

I will give it more time but if im still having these problems a month from now i will have to start trying other things like taking it at night instead of day or lowering the dose..

  6. Hey!

So i've been on finastride (accord) 2 months now. 1mg ED.

Sides for me has been the classic pain in the balls (not to bad though), oily forehead and scalp and then dry forehead. those sides have stopt. No sexual sides at all.

What i have been noticing the last two weeks is that i have a really hard time falling asleep. i can lay in bed 2-3 hours before i fall asleep and when i do its not the best sleep in the world ether, i wake up midnight and struggling falling asleep again. I will still give it the benefit of the doubt than it can be other factors playing in. Its just that i feels like i have taken caffeine or something just before i went to bed, my eyes are wide open and i just feel that i wont be able to sleep.

My question is, if its the finastride doing it, can it go away/be better in time if i continue the treatment, or will i be stuck with sleeping problems if i continue taking it ?

  7. excellent work and growing in nicely. Dr Keser is a bit like Keysey Soze, you hear about him in whispers but few concrete examples so its nice to see these pics. First transplant was a homerun by any standard so as this continues I can see you'll be happy. thanks for sharing!

haha :D good one and i agree!

    I will keep you posted!

  8. Yep I see you had some good results but kinda miffed of where this centre of your scalp got weaker in a short space of time [marked in red] obviously looking at your results its happened recently.

Good news is that you have decided to jump on Fin which IMO will reverse that area of weakness especially if happened the last 5 yrs.

I get you with the anxiety of taken such a medication & a lifetime commitment but at the start of taken this type of pill, you could just take 1.25 every other day & then see if it effects you, if not then maybe that's all you need just to maintain like a lot of guys seem to do.

    I wish you the best.

Yes, i was very happy with my results the first time. I think the hair loss since then must have been "slow" over the five years because i haven't noticed any major sheeding or anything like that. and as i said , my hair did look and felt thick, witch is weird imo.

Yes! i feel good about it. Doing 1mg a day to see how it feels :). thanks for your support!

  9. I looked at your other thread. First, you never should have dropped the hairline. It just didn't need it. But that's in the past now. And again, the doc should have caught that miniaturization, which is probably around 30 percent. He should have refused to drop the hairline IMO, or at a minimum told you that you will end up a high Norwood without it.

Here is the good news... 1. You do have a lot of donor left. I don't know how much, but my guess is 2500 fue left and more if you dig into strip down the line. 2. I see no evidence of thinking in your donor in your other thread. It actually looks amazing. 3. You have yet to see the power of meds so you could have a decade or more until you need to concerned. 3. While I can't tell for sure your donor seems to have a great caliber based on your previous results. 4. You're done with your hairline. All future grafts...like way future hopefully, should be focused on your frontal third to one half.

You are right in many ways. My thought was that i wanted the perfect hairline and worst case if im loosing the hair loss battle i will shave and add SMP. I look good shaved/buzz and can pull that of i think (picture). But honesty i didn't know the hair loss was in this stage.

How come my hair looked and felt so "thick" if im thinning like this?

Maybe its's a shock loss from the HT? But looking at my pictures right before the HT shaved down i think you can see the same patter. do you agree?

That is good news! in a way it feels good to not have to think about my big forehead and hairline anymore and only focus on the hair behind. i will take a picture of my donor later and post it here to see how it looks after 3565 grafts.

I took my first pill 2 hours ago :) 1mg . i feel hopeful and i have a good mindset about it.

    buzz.jpg.11eb65746d47bddff73f82710e3f8799.jpg

  10. Where did you have your 3k plus grafts put in? Im guessing zone 1,2 & 3 right?

have you any pictures of your first surgery you can show?

I think this last one you had that there is some shock loss, am I correct?

Yea, you can see my first and present one on here.

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/184275-1500-grafts-fue-dr-keser-part-2-a.html

First one was 2065 grafts on the front and temples. Second one was 1500 grafts lowering the hairline since we put it to high the first time, (200grafts of those 1500 went in the crown)

So i dont think i had any shock loss...

  11. That's a very low lifetime supply. Some people have that few but they have obviously poor donor. I imagine you have more also.

I understand that thought of meds being hard to accept but it isn't that hard. you don't have to take them, but then the likelihood of going bald faster without the donor to keep up of the pill you have to swallow. The meds can give you 5 to 10 or more years on maintained or increased hair. Look at spex, he has gotten 16 good years out of it. You won't know what meds will do til you try but if you dont you have a very good idea. Finally, a hair system behind your transplant is something that you could consider if you dont do the meds. If you do use them I think you should start as soon as possible.

Yea i dont know where he gets that number. Thats my donor after 2065 grafts and right before my 1500 grafts. I think i have good thick hair in the back. should atleast have a couple of thousand grafts left?

No there is no question in my mind . Im taking my first pill tomorrow morning. Honestly it feels good and kind of revealing that im doing it. I have a full head of hair now and invested alot of money and time in HTs. Can i maintain it a couple of years using fin im good.

I will start with 1mg fin everyday and see how it goes/feels and then maybe doing rogain later on if everything feels good. Thank you for you support Spanker, appreciate it.

    IMG_7633.thumb.jpg.62f773a1aadfe49ce503fbf1845bb96c.jpg

  12. You should take whatever your do prescribes if you feel comfortable. I take 1.25 (5mg proscar cut into 4ths). I also do rogaine 1 time a day at night, all just for maintenance. I really don't see a good reason not to do rogaine if you are taking fin. The more fight power, the better,

Really though, your doc definitely should have caught that, even unshaven, with loops or a microscope.

    Is this your first procedure?

Yea maybe i will. its just the thought of being chained to this routine that scares me, i know that if i start i cant quit. i will be completely dependent on it and thats a hard pill for me to swallow.

No its my second. I have used 3565 grafts in total and im soon 30 years old. I dont know how much i have left in my donor. He said around 1000 grafts left but i actually dont believe him , i think i have alot more than that.

Anyways even the bigger reason to maintain i guess..

  13. Sorry man, it is definitely thinning, you basically have a NW4V pattern of miniaturization showing. Did you not discuss this with your doc prior to the procedure?

If you are not on finasteride, and don't get on it, all that will be gone eventually. You should seriously consider finasteride and rogaine to extend your results and reduce the time needed in between cases to keep up with your loss.

No because we didn't notice it when i shaved it down so short and my hair looked good before we shaved it down. thats my hair 10 days ago before i shaved.

But now when its growing out a bit im seeing it for what it is. You said what i feared and tried to deny .

I haven't taken any medications for it but i will start with fin now. Should i take 1mg every day? I think i will wait with rogaine sense i dont need so much regrowth , i just want to maintain

  14. So before my HT-work for my hairline we buzzed my head.

Now 12 days later when the hair has grown out a little bit you can see my scalp alot. i think its maybe 5mm.

My hair appeared thick before i buzzed it down. sense we did a dense pack on my hairline there is a contrast between the hairline and the rest of the hair maybe making it seem worse than it is.

What do you guys think? does it look normal or? is it normal to see the scalp when short hair like this or is it thin?

(there is a picture of my hair before the buzz aswell)

  15. Hey Gatsu,

Your first result looked great and im sure this one will be outta out of the park home run too. Iv been interested in Dr Keser for some while however i think its lack of online reviews which has made me hesitant. The idea that the surgeon does everything himself and max's at 500 grafts a day mean he can really place and direct them immaculately.

A question for you. When you got your fue first time round, were you able to buzz down to a 2 or 3 guard without it being noticeable youve had a procedure done?

    Hi Tigerkat!

I think one main reason there is'nt much pictures and reviews of Keser is because hes is a one mans show. That means he cant produce as much cases as say Dr Koray that has 5 assistants that does majority of the work.

He has a strong reputation and people from all over the world travels to him. When it comes to adjusting the hairline i think Dr Keser is one of the best in the world.

If i would get at third HT behind my hairline that would demand a larger amount of grafts i would probably go with someone else like Koray.

Both times i let the clinic buzz down my hair. Im 8 days post surgery and im going to work tomorrow as i did the first time, no one noticed. The swelling and redness are gone and its hard to tell. Here are some pictures from today.

(sorry for the bad quality, but so you get the hint)

  16. Hi everyone!

Came back from Turkey and Dr. Keser 7 days ago.

I had a great stay and Dr. Keser with staff treated me very well. I did a total of 1500 grafts, 1300 in the front and 200 in the crown. Dr. Keser is a perfectionist and really takes his time when doing his work. He did 500 grafts over 3 days.

Im really happy about my stay and i feel really confident that i now will have a eternally great hairline :).

I will post pictures on the progress and feel free to ask any questions!

  17. Hi Everyone!

Im starting this thread because im going back to Dr Kesers tomorrow for my Part 2 HT. The first HT went fantastic and the results where mind blowing. I made a thread about it here.

    http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/163680-2065-grafts-fue-dr-keser.html

But sense the pictures in this thread doesn't work anymore you can watch the pictures here.

    Dr Keser 2065 grafts FUE

When i went there for the first time 5 years ago we draw a hairline that was a little bit higher then i wanted having future hair loss i mind. We said that if the hair loss is stable in my 30s we will make it a little bit lower so i can feel perfectly good about it . I have a very big and round forhead so it makes the look alot.

I will lower my hairline a little bit and fill out my crown some using 1000-1500grafts depending on Kesers opinion.

Please spare me the "How can you waste so much grafts on the hair line" talk. i know want i want and the risks going with it. This thread is made so i can share Dr Kesers work with you.

I will take photos and post regularly as i did the first time. I will also look at my donor and see how i looks now after the first HT regarding scars and take pictures of that as well.

    Keep you posted!

    Regards

    Gatsu

  18. Hey!

Im one of these guys that's starring at it, know i need to take it to keep my hair but are to afraid. I have read so much shit and i don't know if its just a smal percentage that suffers horrible side effects. I dont know how many people across the world that takes it so it doesn't say much.

I know that it has been countless threads about this but i just need your advice here.

Im thinking i might start and worst case i just quit?

I have done 2 HTs with a total of 3500 grafts (dense packing in the hairline and some in the crown) Im 29 soon to be 30 and i have a full thick head of hair now. But looking at my grand fathers both are bald and my uncles have all had HTs. No one in my close family have a naturall full head of hair. It's just a matter of time before the genetics comes and kick me in the balls to take all the hair away.

Today im using Regain Pure Shampoo and takes naturall supplements such as Ashwaganda and Rhodiola, Biotin ,Vitamin B5,Omega-3 , Vitamin D and NOURISH Hair Growth Support Vitamins. Im drinking home made green juices every day that are suppose to help agains hairloss and overall living a healthy lifestyle.

    Thank you!

    Mattias

  19. Thank you for the answer guys. I did my hair at Kesers the results are great. I have really thick hair all around atm and not experiencing any hair loss. Looking at my family my mother and grandmother have good hair as does my sister and little brother.

My uncles from both sides have all suffered from different types of hair loss, 4 of them have had hair transplants in there early 40s and look good now. So looking at my close family no one has a full head of thick hair on the male side naturally.

Im just worried i will be "top heavy" in the future with thinning behind the dense packing. I will think about getting on Propecia. at least try it out, maybe im lucky and wont suffer any side effects.

Question. is it possible to do a repair in the future if necessary? Can you replace transplanted hair from the top/front to spread it out over the head if needed?
