  1. Yes they are transplanted at 25 per centimeter. The Artas will produce more multi-hair grafts and to make sure they all grow you have to stay at that number.

FUE surgery is different then strip surgery as they produce different types of grafts and I don't like to divide up the grafts. The grafts with over 5 hairs per graft are transplanted in very select locations to give more fullness. When I started using the Artas I ask other doctors what density they transplant and Dr Bernstein said stay at 25/centimeter so I followed his recommendation.

  2. This patient was one of the first patient's I did with the ARTAS Robotic System. The grafts were the best I have ever seen. Each graft from the beginning to the end were perfect. No human could repeat as well as the Robot. I don't know how you could do strip surgery again after seeing what the Robot can do. We only Transplanted 525 grafts. I transplanted no more then 25grafts per centimeter. The post-op pictures were taken just after the surgery. The follow up photos were at one month. You can not find any evidence of surgery. This will be exciting to watch over the next several months.

  3. I have been following this post and some questions might be is the amount of donor pain have any outcome on the amount of hair growing. If the patient had a lot of post-op pain did it result in poor result. If so it might be that doctor doing the extraction might have gone too deep resulting in nerve damage and transected hairs. It would be helpful that the patients that have replied to this post with pain also share how the outcome was with the transplant. Good topic.

  4. This patient requested only a crown transplant and wanted a FUE procedure. I did 1500 grafts and the grafts were extracted with a .8mm Harris punch. I extracted right up to the thinning area and transplanted in the area. PRP was injected in the area post-op. The patient was seen one week later and had healed in very well. The latest photos are at 4 months and all ready has a lot of hair growing in. The hair seems to start growing in earlier with FUE then with strip. I think this is due to the fact that there is less vascular destruction with FUE then with strip. This is going to be an interesting case to follow.

  6. This is a great example how hair can really enhance an appearance. I am very pleased with the result.

When I look at his after photo it is represents Hollywood. I told him he needs to carry a stick.

This 39 year old man had a transplant 2 years ago and got 2500 follicular units via strip and given PRP into recipient sites and grafts soaked in Acell and Acell strips in the donor bed. Patient also started Finasteride 1 mg. per day and has been on the medication since the surgery. I am amazed how much the hair transplant enhanced his appearance. The patient is very pleased and happy to share his results.

  7. This 42 year old man had his frontal hair line restored. I transplanted 2200 follicular units via strip. Donor bed had acell placed and closure was trichophytic with staples. The Patient also had PRP injected in the area after sites were created with lateral slits. Patient has a very nice positive change in the frontal view. The profile show how well the hair grew and healed so well. The patent is very happy with the results and will continue to get better.
