Hi SoN. I have been on Finasteride for 12 months now and i was as sceptical as you before i started. However, I was rapidly loosing my hair (started when i turned 20) and last year at the age of 22 i decided that i had to do something. I started on 1mg Finpecia together with a daily mineral/DHT blocer pill from Hair Club together with a daily Minoxidil 5% topical solution applied on the entire scalp. I have seen INCREDIBLE results, and I wil say i now have 95% of my hair that i had at the age of 19 so basically a full recovery for my part. To get back to your question: 1. How long have you been on Finasteride? 12 months - 1mg daily. 2. Have you experiencing side effects? If yes, what are the side effects? I have expirensed a decrease in seemen of abt 30% which is still the case. Not that i bothers my at all and i know for a fact that my seemen quality is still very good. I have NOT had any troubles getting an erection. Minor drop in seemen is all the sides i have seen. 3. Did you quite the drug once the side effects came up? No (read above). 4. Did the side effects go away after you quite? It is told that they will, and i will assume that. Not planning on stopping as results are amasing and have no sides really. 5. What is your overall feedback on this drug? To be honest: Very very good, it has helped me very much, not only getting my hair back but on my general selfesteam of having a full head of hair. Hey guys, I have been on Finpecia (generic of propecia) bought via internationaldrugmart (made by Cisla - indian company) for 6 months with okay results. A minor decrease in libido and thats it. I am running out of them and abt to order new ones. Where do you buy your pills guys? Have been searching quite a bit arround the internet and found generics down to 0,3usd pr pill. On the other hand I am thinking i might wanna stick to the pills I am already on eventhoug they are a bit more expensive.. Your input o0n these matters appreciated. Best rgds, The Dane

I was really starting to loose a lot of hair and decided to start upon my arrival to us (work) and now after 6 months I am on the right track. I have now ended my 6 month course with HCM and have to find a substitute for my HCM 5% minoxidil and wanted to hear if any of you know if Rogaine 5% minoxidil is the same product (only cheaper)? Alternatively, have you any other brand-suggestions that does the same job as HCM 5% minoxidil?? I will post some pictures of my 6month progress later in here in order for you to see for your selves. Hi Trim and Sky. I started my treatment of Mino 5% 1 month ago and i have been wondering why that white stuff on the scalp was there and if it was normal. Apprently not the only one and good to know it is just residue. However, Trimox, when applying in the afternoon 4pm and again before going to bed 9pm do this first dosis get obtained by the scalp? I have expirienced thats it take up to 6hours before all mino5% is absorbed. I may use to much as i have a desent amount of residue on the scalp as well, and as i am trimmed preatty short it is notisable why i tend to put on some water whenever the residue appear. Secondly i started yday on Finpecia(finasteride) as that is what i find safest due to the fact that occurence of any side effects will stop upon stopping taking the pills. Do you guys have especially experience with this? brgds, Anders
