Hello I live in LA and am looking for a good surgeon who not only does great work with transplants but can also fix an old donor area scar while they are at it.I need someone who can preferably work with a limited donod area.It is redundant to say this is extremely important but as a professional perfomer this is more then important to me.. Hello Have posted elsewhere and so far haven't had anyone who knows the answer...Had a procedure in April of 2008 by Dr.Ken Siporin in West LA.It was my first with him,my second overall.My first procedure at Zeiring went well.Not sure why now,but had a second procedure with a different doctor. To make a long story short I had roughly 2400 grafts and from the day of the surgery things didn't go well.The nurse was rude,they then left a stitch in when they removed them and I had to remove it with tweezers myself.The worst part was I was left with a large noticeable scar when he said the day of the surgery that as a plastic surgeon too he was going to help me fix the first scar site,which I might add I never saw before then.Lastly I don't feel the yield of hair was great once healed. My question is this,,,How long can someone file for mediation to resolve a bad surgery?It's taken me a very long time to get over this to the point of wanting to actually deal with him but if I can I want to hold him responsible and hopefully get some kind of retribution. I hope someone knows the answer. E:mad:

On the subject of good and bad doctors.Just letting you,Pat,as well as anyone else interested that Dr.Ken Siporin in west la on Olympic did a bad job on me..I went to him in summer of 2008 and had somewhere around 2400-2600 grafts done.His nurse was mean and rude,at least one stitch was left in when they were removed.And worst of all he said he was going to help reduce the size of my prior surgerys scar,which I didn't ask him to do,and when it healed the scar left was much bigger and now was noticeable where it wasn't before!!! Even though it's been just over 7 years I've posted elsewhere on the forum trying to find out from anyone if the statute of limitations has run out or do I quickly still have time to get a moderator to try and help me get some kind of retribution for the lousy work.I know at the beginning of the process the doctor has you sign something saying in the event of problems you won't sue but rather get a legal mediator. If anyone knows the answer to the time issue please let me know,and remember my story before going with Dr.Ken Siporin in W.LA. Thanks, E

Hello Question,In 2006 I had work done,can't remember the name of the place,in west LA.They did a great job.I'm a professional musician so this is very important..in 2008 I went to Dr.Ken Siporin on Olympic Blvd in west LA to do another round,,if I remember right it was about 2400`2600 grafts. The experience was rather unpleasant from the day of the surgery on,,,The nurse had a horrible attitude.During the healing process I noticed one of the stitch areas getting sore and swollen. When the stitches were removed they even accidentally left one in that I had to remove myself with tweezers and it still has a slight bump to this day!! Ans the worst part of all was that,compared to the first work done at Zeiring(just remembered the name!!),,this guys work sucked!!not only did I not get a good yield of healthy hair,but I was left with a big,obvious scar!! This whole experience damaged me so much it has been a daily fight to cover the scar area,make whats there look great,etc,,,like I said,I'm a professional,touring musician. My question is this for anyone who might know,,,How long is the statute of limitations for getting a mediator and trying to get some kind of answer to how I can fix this???I believe I signed something at the time that said any unhappiness or disputes would be settled this way..I've thought about it many times through the years but a)even if a mediator said he had to fix the damage,do I really want someone who screwed it up in the first place trying to fix it??can I get my money back after so long?the work was done just under 7 years ago and it's honestly taken me this long to even finally want to face up to what happened,but at the same time if there's still time I'm ready to do something if there's something to be done... Thanks for getting back to me,I'd appreciate all the info people have to offer.ALSO,one other thing I forgot to mention is that lately,maybe the last couple months,my scalp is VERY itchy at times.So much so where I rub,not scratch(and usually with my fingertips only)quite vigourously cause it drives me crazy.Is this all related to what seems to be a slow,or delayed growth process??or is the itching maybe even a good sign that there's something going on up there?lastly,after going threw the pages of this site I found one posting on Ziering Medical clinic and it didn't leave me with the best hope in the world as well.Although Dr.Calder did the work,NOT Dr.Ziering.Anyhow,all info would be appreciated.Thanks again,Eric

On March 29th I had a procedure.I had a total of 2000 grafts.1300 in the front area,and the other 700 through the part and crown,500 in the crown and 200 down the middle part area.I know 700 through the part and crown isn't alot,and I only needed some bulking up there.It's the front I'm worried about!It's been almost 4 months and I can't see any difference.In fact some of my own hair I had in the bangs area seems to have fallen out due to the "shock" of the procedure.Can anyone help me?also,is anyone familiar with Zeiring Medical clinic in Beverly hills?and Dr.James Calder?I had a smaller procedure in 2002 to the front of 600 grafts with a different doctor and wasn't too happy with the results so I went to Zeiring Medical because they supposedly had a great Reputation(which I'm not disputing at this point).I am a musician and my image is VERY,VERY important to me and I'm starting to feel very depressed.I see pictures where at 4 months people are seeing very recognizable results.I feel so lost,this was not easy money to come by and i had such high hopes when I had this done.Anyone with experience to offer please get back to me soon,I need some hope,or a reality check at least.
