  1. I'd like to give my awesome experience with Dr Steven Gabel. A little background on myself. I consider myself a seasoned vet of hair transplants, with four over the last fifteen years. In total I've had approximately 2500 grafts. I met with Dr Gabel in his Seattle office three times to nail down what I want done. I kept changing my mind with what I wanted done so Dr Gabel saw me three times and every time he wanted to make sure I was comfortable with what was decided. Dr Gabel is truly a class act and wanted me to be comfortable with the procedure and he never pressured to schedule. In fact he told me to think about it for a while and have time to digest the information. I have a scar from a previous strip with a coalition doctor and want to get fue into scar. Then place about 1000 grafts into the front third of my hairline. I haven't done fue before and Dr Gabel told me realistically what to expect. My procedure is scheduled for August. I have not felt this comfortable with Dr in all my years getting hair restoration. As I get closer I'll post pre and post op.:)

  2. Your donor area looks exactly like mine. I had a little over 1000 grafts by Dr. Keene one month ago. My wife is a hair stylist and she has this powder that she brushes on the scar and hair to make it blend. Then I put some gel on the hair surrounding the scar and blow dry it down to better have it blend in. Hope this helps.

  3. This is a really good question. I recently had a HT with Dr. Keene in Arizona, three weeks to the day. I am a norwood 2, maybe 3, not too good at the Nowood scale. I had 1050 graphs in the frontal one third of my head to fill in the hairline and add density behind. I also work in an office and took two weeks off. My recipient area is still a little pink and I had shockloss which didn't help. Most people don't notice and if they do I say I have psoriasis of the scalp

(I know i'm basically lying but sometimes it has to be done). I chose Dr. Keene first for her great results and reputation and second because she doesn't shave the head. There are many great coalition Doctors that don't require a shave so I would focus on those. I ususally keep my hair fairly short on the back and sides but I grew them out to hide my donor scar. Hope this helps!
