  1. I think there was a language barrier problem there, however everything was resolved when i went there and sat down for the consultaion. She used dense packing method. I am going to wait and see how it comes out when it grows. If i like it, ill defintely go back for another procedure for density. She was SOOO serious about me taking propecia that she actually demanded i take a pill before the procedure in front of her eyes. She actually wanted to see me take it. lol. Anyway, i did get a little discount for briging another patient. Lets see, it came out to 4250$. That is everything included, 4 days and 3 nights at a wonderful resort with free food, drinks, clubs/party, beach, medications, and free transportation to the clinic and back which was over an hour away from where i stayed. Originally she wanted 4500$ so i got a little discount. The crew working on me were really nice. They made me feel right at home, but language was the only barrier. Oh, BTW, i just pruchsed 180 pills of Finasteride 1mg so i can get back on that for my crown area and use rogaine foam. I hope that can keep me secure until im a little older and have enough for another HT. Where do you guys purchase Finaseride from? I think i got a good deal on mine.
  2. Bill, Turns out this was not dandruff..im washing my hair daily and if it were dandruff i think it should have been gone. It looks to me like its white crust..is that normal and will it effect the grafts?

  4. I went ahead and did the HT with Dr. Alba Reyes 2 weeks ago. I was not alone, however. My cousin and i both did it. I will post pics.
  5. dakota, At the very last minute, my cousin, 27 yrs old, called me up and asked about Alba Reyes and i told him i wasnt going to do it anymore. He toldme thats fine, but he wanted to go ahead and do it. He didnt care about the doctor. As stupid as that sounds, thats the way he thinks. Then he told me to go along with him, just as a vacation to Santo Domingo and watch him do it. I agreed and went along. I was pleased with the clinic there and their procedure. I got a consultation from the doctor and was very comfortable, so i did it with Alba Reyes
  6. thank you all for responses..i have another question though..About 3 maybe 4 days ago, i began to notice empty rows of grafts running through my transplanted area. They look like lines running through the transplanted area. Is this how the grafts shed?
  7. Hey guys. I finally got a HT. It is my 2nd week in and my scalp is VERRRYY itchy. I see alot of dandruff on my grafts and they are itchy as well. Is this normal?? I wash daily, but very carefully.

  9. BTW, i just saw your pics. Your hair looks great man. Nothing too serious yet. Just get on Propecia. The side effects are minimal. Besides, IF, and thats a big if, you feel some sort of effect, just get off it. Nothing to lose but much to gain. Best of Luck.
  10. Gallup, Do you stress alot from school, girl trouble, or anything like that? I am 22 yr old with much more severe hair loss than you. Like you, i began to shed hair at the age of 17. Now at 22, i have thinned into a NW6. I have taken Propecia, Rogaine, Procerin, Vitamins, etc. I took propecia for well over a year. It stops shedding, but for me it was too late because i was already thinned out. Dont delay, take Propecia A.S.A.P before things get worse. It works.
  11. Nope. Thank Goodness it finally got through my thickhead. I am looking at a doctor in the States.
  12. Ok, this may sound like a silly question, but since we all want density and a perfect head of hair, why cant we blend in someone's elses hair during a HT? For instance, can we use a hair type similar to ours during a ht? Since the donor area is so limited and we all want density, we can just find someone with similar hair and have them "donate" some. Would that work?
  13. Well, i am convinced! Thats it. Sorry folks about my hard head! Wow, i am such an idiot. HT55, Thank YOU sooo much for your persistance with me! As a matter of fact thank you all for your help! I am convinced now. Again, i apologize for being so hard headed and one dimensional. I am SOO glad i came across this website. Without a doubt, i am forgetting the 900$. No homo, but i love you guys for looking out for me. lol. Thank you all so much!
  14. Now i understand i have more severs hair loss than this individual, but i would be SOO excited if i can get those kind of results.
  15. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm2.sta...1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN i know its a long link, but i came across this
  16. HT55, She did state that i could wait if i wanted to. However, it was not possible to get my money back. She said i could wait 12 months and even more if i wanted. After much research, i really want to do it. As i did mention before, i tried propecia, rogaine, and nizoral for well over a year. I did not get the results i hoped for on the "Big 3".
  17. Dr. Timothy Carmen, Thank you so much for sharing your idea with me. I ABSOLUTELY agree with what you have stated. The whole supply>>>demand theory. It makes all the right sense and i am not going to go against it. I respect your opinion.
  18. Jupiter, Thank you for sharing your opinion with me. I do not believe that my "hairloss is too much for the technology" though. I say this because you got slick bald people NW6's going out there and having the procedure done and achieving decent results. Shaving my head is out of the question. I tried it before, and it looked terrible. My head is too bumpy and i have a couple of ugly moles on there. I use Dermmatch on my hair, which makes things a little bit better for me.
  19. HT55, I did not ask about the number of grafts. It slipped my mind. I mean, i know its important to know, but i was too busy explaining to her my emotions and that i was having drawbacks. Furthermore, i stated to her all the advice everyone has given me on the forum including age. I spent more than half an hour communicating with her. She in turn made me feel MUCH better about the HT. In other words, she informed me that she did indeed review my pictures and does understand my level of hairloss. She was straight forward and honest with me. She informed me that it is no secret that i have a HIGH level of hairloss. She demanded i immediately take propecia, which is common sense. Then she added that her main focus was the front and the top, not so much the crown. (Which is exactly what HairClub originally told me.) I will indeed need another procedure done for the crown.
  20. I will defintely keep everyone posted after my HT. Thank You all for the wonderful advice!
  21. do you think if i get a strip procedure done, it would be more appropriate with my case?
  22. Bill, her website has photos of her patients. I mean, at first i told myself that those pics might be fake, but i actually know someone who done it there. Ive called her up and spoke to her numerous amounts of time and explained to her my situation. She seemed confident enough and knew what she was talking about. Moreover, she did consider my future and told me how she was going to treat it. That's why she even asked me to arrive there 1 day before my surgery date so they consulate me some more. She's also a member of the ISHRS. Many people think i have not done research on this issue. But with all honsety, i have. Ive been losing my hair since i was only 17! Now, at 22, i cant help but do a HT because all my other options are gone. My hair is baby thin. Why not treat the problem as if i was already 30? Its very clear where my hair is ending up. According to my research, one should get an HT, ONLY if they can see the line of the level of hairloss. Its very clear i am going to be a NW 6 or NW 7 in a couple of years. EVERYONE in my family has a NW 6 class of hairloss. Its no surprise ill also end up like that. I would defintely understand if i was only getting hairloss in my temple regions. If that was the case, i would defintely wait for a HT but in my case its different. PLEASE DONT GET ME WRONG, i think the best thing i ever did was join this forum and i greatly appreciate everyones advice. I respect you and look up to you because its absolutely clear you have more experience than i do about this topic.
  23. Dude, ur fine. You have hair. Be greatful with what you have. "If it aint broke, dont fix it" I also agree with Bill. What if you have your hair lowered and then you thin out in other places?
