Question about drinking

Hi everyone,

 

Actually, I didn't find this site until a day or two AFTER my transplant (sitting around inside killing time, eh?). Well, my problem is this. I had my HT done here in South Korea (where I live now) by I doctor I trust (saw his work on a co-worker of mine, great work), but....

 

The doctor said I could resume drinking or smoking after 5 days...although I don't smoke, at the 6 day mark I ended up getting pretty drunk (not nuts, but drunk) thinking it was OK.

 

Since then, while perusing this site last night I happened to read postings here recommending no drinking whatever for 2 weeks to one month! Oh my god!

 

My question: have I done my transplants damage? Does alcohol in the blood --or more directly, getting drunk 6 days after-- affect transplants? If any one (especially a doctor) has an answer to this, I would truly be thankful.
