How long after HT should I go on holiday

I am try to plan a HT schedule and wondered how long after the HT is it practical and sensible and enjoyable to go on holiday.

 

1 Swelling, how bad is it and when does it start and finish

2.Itching as above

3. How bad is the pain and how does it last

4. how long until you feel normal and natural as pre op.

5. Is taking out the staples a big deal, can my girlfriend do it or can I do it myself?

Any other tips/advice , I read Spexs post, v good.

Swelling lasts between three and six days.

 

I didn't have any issues with itching, the vitamin e oil helped with that as the scalp was never dry.

 

No pain really, except maybe the first night.

 

I felt normal two days later, but about two months (or maybe more) before looking the same as before.

 

Your girlfriend can take the staples out, not a problem.

 

STAY out of the sun for at least three months otherwise you can take a holiday immediately. Just nothing strenuous.

I did not have any swelling, but those that do have swelling can see I believe.

My swelling was quite drastic for a few days but I could see no problem. It was worst around days 3-6 but quickly back to normal after that.
