Regular Member JoeD Posted February 2 Regular Member Share Posted February 2 (edited) 1) what’s the earliest shedding occurs? Can it happen sooner than one week post op? 2) do fine singles tend to shed sooner than the thicker multis? thanks Edited February 3 by JoeD
Regular Member Walker Paper Posted February 3 Regular Member Share Posted February 3 For me shedding hair shafts always started as soon as 3 days post op ( I have done 3 FUE surgeries). I don't think it matters if it's a single or a multi, they do shed regardless.
Regular Member JoeD Posted February 3 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 3 Thank you. I guess I’m just looking for some reassurance here… an area in my hairline looked a lot more bare, as if several grafts were missing, four days after surgery. Never saw any blood, no trauma. I did sleep normally in my bed on that night, as directed by my surgeon. I presume it is true that no blood = no lost graft.
Regular Member JoeD Posted February 4 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 4 I’ve been reading more about this… and came across some saying that early shedding tends to correlate to early growth? In the grand scheme, I know it really doesn’t matter… But it would be nice if true!
