LaNada
I now have a transplant scheduled for April 2024. I'm considering doing a PRP session soon, which I've done several times in the past. Any thoughts or research on the effects of PRP 3-4 months before a transplant? Thanks!

LaNada
Personally, I was shocked how much regrowth I experienced in my first year of PRP. I fully expected it to be more snake oil, but the regrowth in my crown was significant. However, I lost most of it in the second year. I was only taking topical minoxidil at the time, so I don't know if that would've been different with dutasteride or finasteride. I've stopped doing it, but I am curious if it would have any effect on the upcoming surgery.
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted January 2 Valued Contributor Share Posted January 2 As an ongoing treatment I don't belive that PRP is really of any great value long term. For surgery it definitely helps in the healing process. 1 1 GATSBY 'UNPLUGGED!' 15,671 (3 surgeries) Grafts FUE+BHT Dr. Sethi Eugenix
