Regular Member Abdul Posted September 9, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 9, 2023 Just wondering why some doctors/clinics call the procedure as “DHI” while they say the incision/channels opining will be done by the doctor not techs?!! Basically, there is no incision stage in the direct hair implanting DHI. Right? - in addition to the doctor’s skills, which technique do you think it is better for hair transplant for a receding hair line? In terms of density and natural-looking? Regular Member ScottishGuy21 Posted September 9, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 9, 2023 DHI is an incision, the skin is still being cut/opened. Yes the graft is going directly in, and it’s in one move but the skin is still left with a wound. So I’m guessing they are alluding to this being done by the Dr in a fancy way. DHI is still FUE. I wouldn’t get too bogged down in which technique is best, that’s still up for debate. Commit your research resources to sourcing the right Dr instead. It’s the hands rather than tools which separate great from good. Look for ones that consistently delivering good results. Examine their work on similar cases to your own and contrast it to other Dr’s your are interested in. Contact them and get a feel for how they work, what their plan is for you.
Senior Member Big Rome Posted September 9, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2023 The method isn’t half as important as the doctor doing the surgery
Regular Member Turkhair Posted September 9, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) DHI is that implanter pen thing and its just marketing. The person holding the tool matters not the tool. Edited September 9, 2023 by Turkhair
