Abzzino Posted August 24, 2023 Share Posted August 24, 2023 I’m 19 years old, my dad is NW7, brother is NW3 both have MPB. Would really appreciate some advice. I’m confused if it’s just my hairline maturing, tell me whether I’m receding or am I being paranoid, I’m scared to get on finasteride if I don’t really need it because it’s a big commitment for life and I don’t want to take it too early when I’m not even sure if I have MPB. Your crown and hairlines are both already receding at only 19, you are receding very young as well, your hair looks to be in the same situation as a person in their mid 20s. Given your family history at this rate of balding by the time your 25 you will probably be a NW5 You will need a transplant later if you don’t get on medication right now.
