Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted July 19, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted July 19, 2023 @Met Just use mild baby shampoo for few more weeks so that you don't get any irritation as scalp takes more time to heal and all the chemicals in shampoo can result in irritation or infection... 1 Check Out My Hair Transplant Journey --> My Thread 3611 FUE Grafts With Dr Kongkiat Laorwong | Norwood 5 | 2nd May 2023

Rahal Hair Transplant
@Met, Honestly, 10 days after surgery, you can use any shampoo if you want. As far what feels the best, that’s really up to you. Personally, if you still are dealing with any mild scalp irritation/itching, I always liked the Nioxen shampoo & conditioner combo. It’s a little on the price your side but the conditioner in particular is excellent at alleviating scalp itch. In the shower, after rinsing off the shampoo I would apply the conditioner and let it sit on my scalp for five minutes while it gave me that cool and tingly feeling and then I would rinse it off. The cooling/tingly sensation seems to alleviate the itch and last between 15 minutes and a half hour after rinsing it off. that said, the above is just my personal preference, it is not anything that is needed or necessary. It just is something that personally helped me with alleviating scalp itch especially the first couple of weeks after her transplant surgery and when the new hair starts to grow in. I hope this helps Rahal Hair Transplant 1 Rahal Hair Transplant Institute - Answers to questions, posts or any comments from this account should not be taken or construed as medical advice. Most surgeons seem to recommend finishing the shampoo they provide (in my case that took a month). The first time that was sebamed shampoo. It's got a neutral pH balance and no perfumes (with which to irritate your scalp). I took to using it as my general shampoo after that. Generally, as long as it cleans your scalp and not irritate it, it'll do fine.

Not very long. They got my hair wet, took some pics then he started designing my hairline. I gave him some input on what I wanted so we found a settling ground. Overall yes, I was happy with what I was given.

But I think I could still be recognized even with without the face which is why I would prefer not taking any risks.
