Regular Member Mohitsri Posted July 3, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2023 Hi, I started loosing my hairs 7-8 years back and which gradually progressed to the current stage. Before the planned procedure I had a detailed Trichoscopy and consultation with Dr Saraswat for my Transplant. The consultation went for around 2 hours (slightly more). My Trichoscopy findings (shared with me by the clinic) were- Average hair diameter in donor site .084 mm (Average of 30 random hairs), Average Hairs per FUs (2.3), an arrange density 80FU/cm2, Coverage value at Donor site - 15.45. Total Grafts available at donor site were around 11,500. Area planned to be covered was 120 square cm at a density of 32.5 FU/cm2 to achieve a Coverage value of 5.4+. A procedure of 3900 Grafts was planned for front and midscalp, leaving crown for a separate sitting. Distribution of Grafts - 1 hair Grafts - 727 2 hair Grafts - 1933 3 hair Grafts - 932 4 hair Grafts - 308. Total Grafts inserted - 3900. Grafts harvested 3997. Transection rate 2.75 %. (Not charged for Transected grafts). Hairs per Follicular units in the implanted grafts - 2.21 Implanters were used for graft insertion. Procedure was completed in a single day, about 8 hours operating time. Grafts were taken out in batches, inspected for sorting them in 1-4 hair grafts and then implanted. There was Complete involvement of the Operating Doctor in the entire procedure. Steps performed by Dr Satya Saraswat were planning, Local Anesthesia, Slit making, Graft extraction. Insertion was done by technical staff (who as per the clinic is with them for last 16 years) under constant supervision of the Doctor. Procedure was painless & without any discomfort. I had mild swelling at day 2-4 on nose, which subsided without medicine. Sharing the results at around 7 months. Regards, Mohit Srivastava

Senior Member Britanium Posted July 3, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted July 3, 2023 Yeah was also wondering if this was a 2 stage plan. You appear to have some really good sources of donor hair still, from scalp and beard if needed.
Regular Member WoundedWolf Posted July 3, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2023 its looking good in this light setting even though the design looks poor in which hair is planted in rows, can you share a pic with pulled hair backwards in proper light would like to know if light enters the scalp and dotted lines are visible in such designs or the frizy hair characteristics is blocking the light and lined rows are not visible.. Senior Member ITA Posted July 3, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted July 3, 2023 @MohitsriThe caliber of the hair probably worked in your favor, it looks like a very good result, with a second pass on the crown, you are as good as new. 👍
Regular Member YodaHead Posted July 3, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted July 3, 2023 Looks very good! Natural and dense enough! As and when the crown is done—it will look exceptional! What meds are you taking? If any. 12.5k grafts with Dr. Felipe Pitella in Jan 2024.
