Regular Member Marc2021 Posted June 17, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted June 17, 2023 Hi, I was wondering if it's necessary to remove the crusts by day 12 after the operation if the skin is still sensitive ans the donor area is still burning. I don't want to risk damaging the graffs , on the other hand I read online that if the crusts aren't removed on day 12 they may die because of lack of oxygen. Regular Member Mr.potato Posted June 18, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted June 18, 2023 Yes bro, at this point your grafts are secured. Best way to remove these grafts is to apply plenty of conditioner on ur recipient area and let it sit on your head for 5–10 min, just wash the hair after. Most of them will fall off, some might need for you to apply pressure with your hand via circular motion. what this video
Senior Member Spring15 Posted June 18, 2023 Senior Member Share Posted June 18, 2023 Yes, you should remove the crusts - you can soak your head in shampoo leave it there for 20 minutes then rub the crusts off
Valued Contributor A_4_Archan Posted June 18, 2023 Valued Contributor Share Posted June 18, 2023 Your grafts are well rooted at day 12 so don't worry about that...but if your skin is very sensitive as you are saying than go slow and remove it gently ....and its not compulsory to remove them all in one day...gently try to remove it evryday and they will be removed in 2-3 days.... 1 Check Out My Hair Transplant Journey --> My Thread 3611 FUE Grafts With Dr Kongkiat Laorwong | Norwood 5 | 2nd May 2023
