Is it safe to use Minoxidil foam three months post transplant, as I read it clogs pores which is a bad thing for the new hair?

Everywhere else say's Minoxidil is fine, but you know how it is, that one article in a hundred 🙂

If that was true then it would have blocked any hair from growing after normal hairfall ( it would have just clogged the pores after your hair falls out). People not going for transplant also wouldn't have used it.

Where did you read that? 
I always start using minox 2 weeks post transplant and never had a problem.

Perfectly fine to use topical minoxidil after surgery once everything has healed. Three to four weeks is fine if your scalp isn't sensitive to it.

It came up when I Googled it. It was an iffy article; it also said Minoxidil or other aids were pointless after a transplant.

Always check with your clinic though as it's best to follow their instructions but three months should be more then enough time for you to be able to return to treatment.

Minoxidil and other aids (Finasteride) are even more important after transplant, otherwise you run the risk of accelerating loss behind the transplant line.
