FUECAPILAR Posted April 14, 2023 Share Posted April 14, 2023 (edited) Hi Everyone, we would like to present below a case of a patient with a Norwood III stage with diffuse thinning in the mid scalp and crown. You can find below the details of the surgery.Patient Details Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal, fronto-temporal, mid scalp and crown area. The surgery was performed in one day with 3 sessions of extraction and implantation Patient´s age: 27 years old. Hair Thickness: 52 microns in the parietal areas and 58 microns in the occipital area. Hair Type: caucasian, ginger hair, below average thickness. Hello Rafael, Normally, ginger/red hair patients have less hair density but coarser hair. Their hair is also frizzier. However, in this particular case, the patient had thin hair. In a positive note, due to the less contrast of skin vs hair colour, the illusion of density is normally very good in patients with these hair characteristics.
