Question about fue scarring

Hi. I know most people say fue scars get better over time. I'm just curious as to why this is? Shouldn't they heal once the scabs are off? What type of factors play a role long term to better the appearance. I'm just trying to see qwhat reasons make the donor improve with time. Thanks for the info

Most scars get better over time. Have you have had a scar from a small wound which might have disappeared more and more over a couple of years?

In my own experience I feel like small scars eventually get a bit of pigment back on the edges and start to blend in better with the surrounding skin. For example I had a deep cut on my finger some years ago and it left a scar that wrapped around my finger. These days it's almost impossible for me to see it even if I'm looking for it. It's been slowly fading out for the past maybe 8 years since it happened.

Just checking... Are you having scarring on your donor or recipient area?

Hi! FUE scars typically get better over time due to a combination of factors:

First, after the initial healing process, the scar tissue begins to remodel and fade over time, which can lead to a reduction in their appearance. Additionally, hair growth in the surrounding areas can help to conceal the scars and make them less noticeable. Finally, the quality of the initial FUE procedure can also play a role in the long-term appearance of the donor area.

A skilled surgeon who uses advanced techniques and takes great care during the procedure can help to minimize scarring and promote optimal healing. Overall, while it may take some time for the scars to fully heal and for hair growth to fully cover the area, most patients find that their FUE scars improve significantly over time.
