prescription finasteride, bloodworks, and keeps finasteride

I'm trying to get finasteride, and I talked to my doctor and she said she wanted to do bloodworks before prescribing them (I have no medical conditions, recently done bloodwork for annual health checkup, 2 weeks ago). I think bloodworks outside of preventative care costs like xxx$

I've been prescribed finasteride long time ago, the doctor then (diff doctor, in canada, not usa), didn't need any bloodworks before prescribing.

 

Is bloodworks common for finasteride prescription?

 

Also, how "legit" is keeps finasteride?  it looks like they try to take payment for 3months prescription before consulting doctor lol

 

Any ideas?
