Regular Member olic_g Posted September 12, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 12, 2022 (edited) Today while washing my hair I felt as if a scab was still attached to my new hairline so I gently massaged it off. Once came out I saw that those were actually 2 hairs attached to a bulb, no crust. I am 18 days post op and I didnt see any bleeding. Is that normal? Senior Member SeanT1 Posted September 13, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2022 100% normal, follicles can have more than one hair. It's simply moving into the shedding phase. They'll grow back.
Senior Member pkipling Posted September 13, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted September 13, 2022 Yep! As Sean stated, they can have more than one hair - with some grafts having up to 4 hairs. Almost half of my grafts were actually doubles, to give you some perspective. 1 I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA.
